Vaani's Pov

Life has fallen back into the same old routine : work, home, work and home. These two weeks we have been so busy that we barely got time to talk. Nevertheless, there were these small small moments which seemed like a progress in our relationship but then it also reminded me that we have only 5 more months. I don't really know where our relationship is progressing but then I accept that I don't want this to end.

The clock strikes twelve. Agastya is still not home.

I decided to call him again when my phone rang, flashing Agastya's name on my screen.

'Hey, sorry I couldn't pick up your phone earlier. Today my work schedule was super hectic. I am on my way back home.' He said from the other side.

'It's ok. Drive safely. Bye.'

'Bye.' He hung up.

Immediately my phone flashed with an incoming WhatsApp video call.

'Hello guys.' I smiled.

'Happy Birthday Vaani.' Shashank and Tisham screamed together.

'Stop screaming you both. And thank you.'

'Meet us today, if possible.' Tisham said.

'Why if possible ?' I asked.

'No, I mean if you have any special plans, you know.'

'I will meet you guys today. At our usuals ?'

'Yes darling. Now, where is your husband ?' Shashank asked.

'He is on his way back home.'

'He knows today is your birthday right ?' Tisham questioned.

'I don't know. Leave it.'

'Vaani....'

'Shashank....'

I heard the main door opening.

'Ok guys. Meet you today at 7. Bye now. Agastya came.'

'Yah yah, now is the part where you forget your best friends.' Tisham said, releasing a dramatic sigh.

'Great acting Tisham. Now, bye guys.' I said hanging up.

I went down to greet him.

'You didn't sleep ?' He asked.

'Did you have your dinner ?' I asked.

'No. You ?'

'No. Go and freshen up. By that time I will heat the dinner.'

'Alright.' He said in a tired voice.

In the morning :

'You in traditionals ? Not going to the office ?' Agastya asked, seeping his coffee.

'Yah, I will. Why ? Can't I go to the office in traditionals ?'

'I have never seen you going in traditional outfit. That's why I asked.'

'See you later.' I said.

'Drive safely.' He said, looking up from his laptop.

In the evening :

'Happy Birthday Vaani.' Tisham engulfed me in a tight hug as soon as I reached our table.

'Move away, leech.' I said, laughing.

'Happy birthday darling.' Shashank said, giving me a side hug.
