This a little teaser for what's to come for Life is NOT a Fairytale Part 2

Miranda lay in bed being fully pampered by her husband. He tended to her every need and she was so grateful. She had tons of family and friends coming by to check up on her Ben and the babies. And having so many helping hands did wonders for Miranda's mental or so she thought.

After two weeks Ben's family went back home, and everyone else just went back to their lives. She had help from Brooke and Tuck and of course Ben. But she felt weird, she looked at her babies and felt overwhelmed anytime she was with them. They would cry and so would she. She was so depressed she started gaining weight from emotional eating and she didn't feel like a woman.

Five weeks postpartum, Miranda stopped by work and Ben's new assistant was clutched to his side. He didn't correct her, and that made her suspicious about why the hell were they so content with each other. Instead of asking, Miranda's mind played tricks on her and created the narrative that Ben had to be cheating on her. Since that moment their relationship was strained.

Miranda stood in the mirror, she examined her body after her babies and she was honestly disappointed. She felt out of shape, and babies were hanging from her titties. She wanted to shut off her brain, but she couldn't. She didn't want to be a mother anymore, hell not even a wife. She stared in the mirror and didn't want to exist. She cried silently, feeling a tug in her chest.

I'm supposed to lean on my husband, but he's out screwing some whore. She said aloud. Where did we go wrong, can we make this right? I love him, but I'll be damned if I get drugged through the mud, Miranda thought. She looked up from her mirror, and there was her husband.

Hey baby, Ben said softly. He walked up to her and saw her tears. He used his thumb and gently wiped them. Tell me what's wrong, he put his face in the crook of her neck. Miranda stayed silent, much to Ben's dismay. Something is wrong, I just don't know why you won't tell me.

I need to go to, an inpatient facility. I don't feel right, and I keep feeling things. I need help, she whimpered. She couldn't look him in the eyes, she felt weak and she still felt indifferent about him. I don't like what I see in the mirror, Ben.

Okay, he breathes deeply. I know, a great private place. He already knew Miranda was severely depressed, but he didn't want her to feel attacked. So he waited until she came to him. Everyone will be good, you just worry about taking care of yourself. He tried to kiss her lips, but she turned away. Ben furrowed his eyebrows, he knew something deeper was bothering her and this just showed that.

Okay, can you call them? I need them to, set it up for tonight. She turned away from him.

Okay, he went to ask for a favor from one of his close friends. When he got off the phone, Ben took the babies downstairs. He fed them and placed them in a bouncer. When he sat on the couch, Ben couldn't help but sob.

Brooke and Tuck heard Ben and came downstairs.

What's wrong? Brooke and Tuck sat next to him and hugged him.

Your mom needs help, she is going to a facility to help with her postpartum depression. I don't know how long she will be gone. He looked in his lap, and just let his tears fall. We will drop her off tomorrow, we have to be strong for her okay? He looked at the two teens as they cried into his shoulder.

That night, the family of six ate dinner together trying to keep everything positive. No one knew what to say, so the entire situation was tense and awkward. Brooke washed the dishes and bathed the babies. Tuck dressed them, and put them to sleep. They were such good babies, and they already slept through the night.

Ben walked into the room, seeing Miranda pack her things. He smiled at her, but she turned her back on him, he sighed and went to take a shower. Ben walked out of the shower, with the towel wrapped around his waist. Miranda couldn't help but stare. He put on deodorant and lotioned his entire body. He smirked, looking in the mirror and watching Miranda ogling him.

Miranda, broke her attention. Come here please, he reached out his hand.

Why? I don't want you to touch me, she snapped.

Ben, didn't know what to do, so he dropped his towel and put on his boxers. Sliding on his bedroom shoes, he decided, to go to the kitchen and get something to drink. He wiped his tears away, straightening his face.

Miranda looked at Ben's sour face, and she knew he had been crying.  She looked at her room, thinking back to the events that happened. For the first time, she thought about what she did. She saw him turn away from her, and throw the covers over his head. Now she felt terrible, and she didn't know how long she would be gone.

Miranda walked to his side of the bed, squatting down. Benjamin?

What, Miranda! You don't want me anywhere near you. So what do you need?

I'm going through something, she raised her voice.

I know that, and I'm sorry. He continued covering his face, letting his tears roll onto his pillow.

She stood up and finished packing her things. She checked on the kids, who were all sleeping. Walking back into her room, she heard Ben's phone go off. She picked it up looking through the text, and what she saw made her heart sink.
