"That was so cool!" Juliet exclaims as she emerges from the water. The scorching sun beams down on her glistening skin, her bikini tightly clinging to her body as she trudges up the sandy beach towards me.

"You should have seen them! They were sooo cute," She beams, a genuine smile adorning her sun kissed face.

We've been in Australia for three days now and we have three days left. So far we've just been sunbathing and relaxing by the pool but today we're doing Juliet's number one dream, swimming with the turtles at The Great Barrier Reef.

Personally I don't get the appeal but whatever makes her happy I guess.

"Have fun?" I chuckle, still sitting on the sand where I was watching her from afar. "Yes! You should have come in," She whines playfully.

"Fuck no if you want to get eaten by sharks that's on you," I tell her, taking a drag from my cig. After watching jaws when I was little I vowed to stay out of the ocean, not even Juliet's begging could change that.

"Pussy," She teases, poorly attempting to cover her insult up with a fake cough. "What was that?" I ask, standing up and stalking towards her.

"Okay okay," She laughs, backing away from me. "I didn't mean it," She giggles, throwing her hands up in surrender.

"Uh huh," I hum, picking up her bag. "Can we get some food now," I groan, having been sat on this beach for at least four hours.

"What do you wanna get?" I ask, handing over her bag before beginning to walk up the beach. "Pleaseee can we-" She begins to beg but immediately cut her off.

"No we're not having hotdogs for the third night in the row," I scold, rolling my eyes.

On the first night we got here all the restaurants were closed so we found this little hotdog stand ran by this elderly man. Juliet struck up a conversation with him and apparently became best friends which is why she's dragged me back every single day.

I thought rich people were supposed to like eating at five star michelin restaurants but I guess I'm just unlucky and got stuck with the one that makes hotdogs a staple of her diet.

"Please," She pleads, clutching my arm and looking up at me with those big doe eyes. "Fucks sake," I groan, knowing for some reason I can never find it in me to say no to her.

We walk down the sea front, the orange glow of the setting sun beaming down and reflecting off our skin. I press the cig to my mouth as I turn my head in Juliet's direction.

Her soft lips are pulled upwards into a smile as she talks passionately about something but no matter how hard I try I can't seem to focus on her words, her face distracting me.

Although I hate to admit it she may quite literally be the prettiest girl I've ever seen, there's no denying it.

Her chestnut brown hair bounces on her shoulder, resting adjacent to her numerous layered gold necklaces that glimmer under the street lights. Her light brown freckles that are perfectly scattered across her face resemble constellations, each one unique and coming together to form an intricate pattern.
