It's Your Birthday

It's been a month since that memorable, yet hazy, party, Gwen and Petra were sitting beside each other, waiting at a park. Petra checks the time and looks around for the person of the hour. She looks over to Gwen who was also doing the same.

Gwen: Did she text you yet?

Petra: No… she said 11 am right? 

Gwen: Yeah… maybe she's at the east entrance not north?

Petra. Hm yeah may-

Suddenly Petra's spider-sense goes off, she looks to their right, then to their left… but nothing. 

M/n: There you two are.

The two girls look behind them to see M/n standing there. She wore a gray sweater over her black shirt, and gray pants. It looked like she just came out of a meeting or something.

Gwen: H-How did you get there?!

M/n: I saw you two and just walked up to you?

Petra: You're so quiet…

The woman just shrugs before gesturing to the two to follow her.

M/n: Let's go on a walk, so I could finally know what you've two been bugging me about. I've been trying to get the right cake for Y/n's party. If it's about what to get him, you're his girlfriends, you should know.

Gwen shakes her head as the two quickly catch up to her. 

Gwen: No M/n-

M/n glares at Gwen, the blond quickly reels back and laughs nervously before continuing.

Gwen: M-Mrs. L/n, we wanted your permission to do a surprise party for tomorrow. 

Petra: We could quickly get some supplies ready for tomorrow and even help with getting a cake! 

Gwen: We wanted to do something special for him this year! It'll be his first birthday as a couple, and then we'll be going to college together in just over a month!

M/n thinks about it for a second as she continues walking… she likes the two girls of course. But this feels like it may backfire… after all it's been so long he'd have a celebration, in such a way. Ever since F/n passed, they haven't held full parties. Just a small cake for him, and she'd let his friends hang out with him… however… Maybe this is something her son needs… 

M/n: Fine, I'll get the cake, and you will set it all up?

Gwen: Yes ma'am!

M/n: Hm… he needs to be out of the house as we all set up the party. So who will distract him?

Gwen: The two of us could keep him out of the house for a few hours?

Petra: Yeah! Like each of us can take him out somewhere for separate birthday dates or something?

M/n looks unsure of their plan, but shrugs.

M/n: Okay, Just one of you has to at least help me and the other adults make the party. So it's good you two will switch jobs. 

Petra: Understood Mrs. L/n!

Gwen: We'll do our best!

M/n: Good, because he deserves the best.

The next morning, Y/n was seen eating a bowl of cereal. He looked sluggish as he slowly lifted his spoon from his bowl. Despite it being about 11:30 in the morning, he's still a bit of a mess, with his unkempt hair, and the fact he's still in his pajamas.
