Caught

It was helpless. To be clueless of what's going on, it was tormenting.

Walang magawa si Paige. Ni wala siyang mahingan ng tulong dahil sa bilis ng mga pangyayari.

He was now inside a jail, a truly prison room wearing the same uniform as the prisoners. Nasa silda na siya ngayon kasama ang ibang mga bilanggo.

Madilim na at nagsimula naring lumamig ang simoy ng hangin na pumapasok sa silda. Ang tanging meron na lamang si Paige ngayon ay kama na mayroong manipis na kumot.

Everything is completely new to him. He never expected that he could experience this in his life. Namuhay siyang malinis at malaya sa mga krimen.

He hasn't done anything wrong. Mabait siya at mabuting tao. Walang criminal record o kung ano pa mang gulo.

Rafael came back to his mind. How could he not notice it? How could he not realise that there was something wrong?

If Rafael really fooled him, he really did a good job.

O sadyang magaling lang talaga mag tago ng intensyon si Rafael?

"Leon! Get me out of here!" Agad na tinakbo ni Paige ang pintuan ng silda ng makita ang isa sa kaniyang mga pinsan.

Leon Montero Natividad, he is one of the planted people of the Montero. The Montero had people planted everywhere in the government. Isa doon si Leon, kung saan na-assign ito sa National Police.

"I'm sorry to have you caught up with our families mess." Saad ni Leon sa kaniya.

"It's okay, just get me out of here." Saad ni Paige, nagmamakaawa na ngayon. Nakahawak na siya ngayon sa kamay nito.

"Paige, I can't. I don't have the power to do so." Leon said. Hindi mawari ni Paige kung namamalikmata lamang siya pero nakita niyang ngumisi ito.

"Why?!" Biglang sigaw ni Paige. It was his determination to get out that rushed into him.

Biglang nilapit ni Leon ang kaniyang mukha sa tenga ni Paige.

"Don't you think... it's about time you served your purpose for the Monteros?" Tanong ni Leon kay Paige sa kaniyang tenga.

Hindi agad nakapagsalita si Paige sa sinabing iyon ni Leon.

"You've got all the freedom before but it doesn't mean that you're completely free from your duties as a Montero." Ngumisi si Leon.

"Your father... has sent you here, in his place so he could escape for himself." Dagdag nito na siyang nagpanginig ng buong katawan ni Paige.

Natulala si Paige sa kaniyang nalaman.
