Jake stares at Sean with a red face for another long couple of moments.
"I- uhm-'' Sean can't form a whole sentence.
"Right sorry-!" Jake says, dropping Sean to the floor.
"Ow-" Sean groans, sitting up and rubbing his back.
"Oh my gods- I'm so so sorry, I should've thought that through!" Jake's blush goes from blushing because of his massive crush on Sean to blushing out of embarrassment.
"You're fine, dude," Sean says calmly, though his face betrayed his cool tone. His cheeks were red with blush and he had a bead of sweat on his brow.
"Uh- y- yeah,'' Jake rubs the back of his head in embarrassment.
"You okay? You're really red." Sean observes.
"Yeah I'm fine. It's a bit hot in here, that's all," Jake answers.
"Hm, I find it quite cool in here even with my hoodie on."
"Oh,"
Jake sighs and picks his bag up, putting it on the table and stuffing it full with his things. Sean stands up.
"You sure you're alright?" Sean asks.
"Yup, I'm perfectly fine," Jake replies, slinging his bag over his shoulder.
"Jake, are you leaving?" Sean grabs the broom and puts it away.
"Oh uh- yeah. I think I've made things a bit awkward, haven't I?" Jake smiles awkwardly.
"No you're fine. I shoulda been paying attention to where I was sweeping." Sean gently grabs Jake's wrist. "I was wondering... if you wanted to come over later? To start those covers we were going to do?"
"Huh? Yeah I can do that. If you don't mind my brother coming with me. He's my responsibility on week nights while my ma works." Jake responds. Sean smiles and nods.
"That's fine, I have a dog he can play with. Plus, I have a bunch of my old things stuffed away in my closet if he wants to mess with some fidgets or something," Sean let's go of Jake.
"Sweet, yeah I'll be there." Jake gives him a confident grin, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Cool, cool." Sean chuckles.

**After school**

Sean was sitting on his porch listening to music through his earbuds, waiting for Jake.
Jake walks up with his little brother Milo in tow. "Heyy," Jake calls, waving.
Sean smiles, "Hiya, Jake! So what's the little guy's name?" Sean takes his earbuds out.
"His name is Milo. He's twelve. And getting more annoying by the minute." Jake replies, still smiling.
"I'm not that annoying!" Milo exclaims, putting his hands on his hips.
"Yeah yeah, dummy." Jake replies.
"Well is the little guy a fan of The Music Freaks?'' Sean asks.
"Yeah I am! I saw you guys during the competition and- and uh- oh and Jake showed me videos of your rehearshals!" Milo exclaims, grinning.
"That's awesome," Sean chuckles.
"Well uh- we ready to start working on those covers?" Jake asks, clearly jealous of the attention his little brother is getting from Sean.
"Yeah let's start working on those," Sean replies, still smiling. Milo and Jake follow Sean inside.
"Hey bud, your friend here yet?" A voice asks from the living room sofa.
"Yeah dad, they're here," Sean responds, closing the front door.
Mr. Everett smiles and says "alright then."
Sean starts walking up the stairs, Jake and Milo following a few steps behind.
"So I have to grab my laptop from my room, this is the room we turned into my music studio," Sean opens a white floor that has a sign that says 'Sean's Cave' Jake chuckled silently at that and entered the room after Sean.
"Make yourselves comfortable while I grab my things," Sean mutters before striding out of the room toward his bedroom.
Jake sits down on a chair next to the table, and Milo plops himself into the beanbag chair in the corner.
Sean comes back and sits next to Jake, opening the laptop and logging in.
"Okay so we can do covers for these songs I have archived," Sean says to Jake.
Jake nods and replies, "You can choose, I don't have a preference."
"Hey Milo. Want to choose the song your brother's gonna sing?"
"Can I!?" Milo sits bolt up right.
"Of course, little man," Sean answers, waving his hand for Milo to come over.
"Oou! I know which one Jake should do!" Milo says after a few moments. He points at the screen. "He should do a cover for this one, here."
"Great idea, Milo!" Sean laughs a bit.
"Alright then," Jake pats Milo's shoulder.
"Well, little man, why don't you go play with the dog while your brother and I work on this?" Sean nods toward the door, where a dog was laying waiting for someone to take her outside and play.
"Okay," Milo walks over to the dog and rubs her head. "What's the dog's name?"
"Her name is Sonya." Sean replies, messing around with the background music for Jake.
"Alrighty then." Milo leads Sonya the dog out of the room and downstairs.
"Ready, Jake?'' Sean asks.
"Yep," Jake nods.
"Okay... recording starts in 3...2...1," Sean hits the play button.
Jake starts to sing, reading the lyrics off of his phone. This song wad easy for him, he listened to it frequently.
Sean was looking at Jake with stars in his eyes.
When Jake finished singing and Sean stopped recording, the first words out of Sean's mouth was:
"You're singing is really beautiful.."
Jake's face flushes a bit. "Th- thanks, dude,"
The two of them hadn't yet realized that their hands were ontop of eachother on the table space between them.
