September 22nd

"Hello Ms. Carter?" I answered my phone.
"Yes im here."
"Hi. This is Officer Stanley, I need you to come to the hospital immediately." I heard and begun to struggle out of bed.
"Why what's going on?" I asked.
"I'm not allowed to say." I sighed.
"Ok I'm on my way." I hung up the phone and called Josh and asked him for a ride.

"Heav calm down please. You don't need to be stressing with my godson in you." Josh tried to calm me down as we were sitting in the waiting area. It was when Ajay and Heather walked in that I knew what was going on. "What happened?" Ajay rushed to me. I was now pacing the floor while rubbing my stomach, trying to calm down. "It's Harvey." I shook my head. "What's wrong with him?" I stopped in my place and looked at her.

"He didn't tell you yet?" I asked. "Tell me what?" I shook my head and stomped to the man behind the desk. "Harvey Carter. What room is he in?" I snapped. "Um room 402 but you can't-" I cut him off. "Too fucking late." I pushed past him and went ahead to Harvey's room. "You son of a gun!" I snapped when I walked in his room. Just to get held back by a male nurse.

"How could you Harvey? You promise me you was going to tell them! Now look at you, laying up in a hospital bed with your family clueless. You had so many chances to get yourself together. You could've died today. And I refuse to lose another person I love die on my birthday again without a warning." When I realized Harvey wasn't breathing on his own, I broke down into the man's arms and I could tell he wasn't expecting that.

"Excuse me man. I got her." The nurse left and Josh was there consoling me as usual. "Calm down sis." He rubbed my back and allowed me to cry. "I can't go through it again Josh. I can almost never have a happy birthday without someone I love dying." I cried. "Heav, he's not dead." "You don't know that. You're not a doctor and-"

"Damnit Heaven. You nearly gave us a heart attack." I heard when I woke up. "What happened?" I looked at to see me in the hospital bed. I panic quickly and started feeling my stomach. "Don't worry he's fine." I looked to see my uncle. "What happened?" "You passed out in my arms while ranting about your brother." Josh said. Before I could respond, a doctor walked in.

"I see you're up. I'm Doctor Brian." He extended his hand and I shook it. "You happened to have gone under when I supposed you visit your um brother it says here." "Yeah I didn't mean to get all worked up." I said. "I understand. But besides that, the baby is fine, he's actually very healthy. You must be doing a very good job with your do's and don't's unlike most mothers." "Thank you." I smiled. "You just need to slow yourself down a little. You're stress levels is a little high." He says. "Okay. Thank you Doctor. When will I be able to leave?" I asked. "I can go get the paper work and you'll be set to go." "Thanks." He walked out and I could see my uncle shaking his head.

When I walked into Harvey's room, he was sitting up talking to Heather who was on his lap. I myself didn't want to go in there but my uncle was making me. "You not gon talk to me? Ask me how I'm feeling?" He asked and everyone looked at me. "Nope." Was all I said but was really saying some words in my head.

"Heaven." "What?" I snapped at my uncle. "You better watch who you think you talking to." He tells me and I rolled my eyes and rubbed my stomach as my son kicked. "I really don't want to be here on my birthday, especially with who the patient is." I turned to leave. "Heaven Angel Carter sit yo ass down here so you're brother can explain to us what's going on." My aunt snapped and I turned to look at everyone here.

"I already know what's wrong with him. He already told me and he promised me that would tell the rest of you. Especially his wife and daughter. Harvey you might as well just go ahead and die." They all gasp at the last part. "Little girl!"
