Very Short Chapter

2 Weeks Later
Heaven POV

"He is just the cutest." Caution's grandmother coo'd over Chance as she held him. "Thank you." I smiled, fixing our plates.

"What are you doing for Thanksgiving?" She asked me. "Um I think I'm going over to my uncle's house." I told her as I placed her plate on the counter and took him. "Thank you baby. And I know my family gets together over to my home, could you stop by sometime?" She asked. "Um I don't know. Chance will only be one month and I really don't want a lot of people trying to hold him because he's small. And I feel as if though it would be rude of me if someone asks to hold him and I say no." I told her.

"I understand. It wouldn't be rude. Hell, if you don't want them to, then they won't." She says and I giggled. Caution is a lot like his grandparents. "You don't mind if I go feed him do you?" I asked. "Not at all. And this is delicious." I thanked her and went upstairs to breastfeed.

"AHH!!!!" Laila screamed as another contraction came. "Heav how did you go through this?" She asked me as I wiped her sweaty face. "I don't know. Everyone's different." I shrugged. "AHHHH!!!!!" "FUCK LAI!" Josh yelled as she squeezed his hand tightly. "Okay Ms. Laila. By your next contraction, you can start pushing okay?" Dr. Walden asked. "Okay." Everyone left out the room except my aunt and Josh and the rest of us waited out in the waiting area.

"Heav." Em called me. "Hm?" I looked at her scared face as she held Chance as he stirred around a little. "I'll take him." My uncle says and I laughed. "Remind me not to get him again okay? Maybe in like 5 months when he's bigger." She says. "It's about time for me to feed him."

Laila POV

"You're doing great! One last big push and the head is out." Dr. Walden says. My body was soaked with sweat and I was in a lot of pain. Even with the epidural. "You got it." Josh encouraged.

"Congratulations it's a girl!" Josh cut the cord as I laid back with happy tears running down my face. I look at Josh as a tear ran down his cheek as he held her. "We have to go clean her up and run some tests and then she's all yours for a while." Dr. Walden took her from Josh. "Josh we need to get a DNA test." I told him. "I don't know what your talking about." He says and my mom laughed.

"What's her name." Heav asked as she held my baby, me holding Chance. "Nevaeh Journie Campbell." I spoked and she looked up at me. "Y'all named her after me?" I nodded. "If it wasn't for you Heav..." She awed and hugged me then Josh. "I love y'all. Especially you." She hugged me again and then we started crying together.

"Oh God! Are these hormones ever going to stop??" Josh huffed and we giggled.

"Are you going to try breastfeeding?" Dr. Walden asked me and I shrugged my shoulders. "Yes she is." My mother answered. "It's one of the healthiest things you can feed your child." She tells me and I said okay.

"Baby what's wrong?" Josh asked me as I breastfed Veah. "I don't know how Ima do this." I cried looking down at my daughter. I don't know how to take care of a child. I can barely take care of myself. "We got you babes. Whatever you need." Heaven tells me. "Heav, you got a newborn yourself to worry about." I reminded her.

"Ain't nothing wrong with helping each other and raising our kids to grow up together. Isn't that what we talked about as kids? You be my children's godmother and I be yours. Well we're here. This is it Lai. Now all we gotta do is bring those little girl talks out and help one another. It's going to be hard, but at least there won't be a struggle. You got me, your parents, Josh, and other people who care about you. You're not along okay?" I nodded my head. "Good."
