Waking up the next morning, you didn't fight to go to school that day. You were about to graduate in about 1-2 months so you just wanted to stay focused on your studies and make it into your dream college. The past few days your work place was overstaffed not needing your help so they sent you home, but later after your two classes you had to work. You never hated your job, being a barista was very calm and peaceful plus you liked making the latte art too. Finished doing your makeup and drove to school earlier than normal so you can stop by Starbucks and get your favorite drink and a quick breakfast.
After finishing your breakfast you parked your car and brought your drink to your class with you since your teacher never minded drinks or snacks as long as it wasn't distracting you or others. Today was the day you had to finish your art projects, you were almost done with the scales on the snake which was one of the last things you needed to finish.

"Y/n!!!" you hear call your name from a familiar voice, "Hi Jay." you say not turning your head "Yo when i went back to the lab yesterday he kept talking about you, i think he's obsessed." He said bringing his finger nails to his bottom lip acting all surprised and excited. "Really?" "Yeah he said something about-" "I'm sorry to interrupt you but i don't want him to ruin my mood today I already know he probably said something bad, so please just don't tell me." You explained to him as he shows a confused look but doesn't continue accepting your request to not talk about him. You looked over your shoulder and see him texting V "Tell her i say hi." You said as he looked up at you and nodded. "She said hi and that i should tell you about Matt." "You told her?" "Yeah i tell her everything, she was the first person i told she said you'd be shocked." "Nah i'm good." You say as you return to finishing your project. Right before the bell was about to ring for your next class you finished you project meaning you quickly had to clean up in order to be on time for your next class. Putting your cup of water in the sink you can see that only the teacher was left in the class. "I already wrote you a pass Miss. Y/n." "Thank you, have a great day." "You too." She said as you were exiting the room quickly heading to the lab, opening the door you can already hear your teacher. "Y/n what did we say about showing up late." "But i have a pass." She held out her hand and grabbed the pass "go take a seat ask your lab partner for the notes you missed "Ok." you say putting your bag down and sitting on your lab stool grabbing your notebook, you turned to Matt. "What did i miss?" "Nothing much just her recapping the things she talked about last class." "Wow i'm surprised your paying attention." "Yeah, i don't wanna come back here tomorrow i wanna enjoy my day." You just hummed in response and listened to the teacher as she started to talk about the new lesson. 11:05, 25 more minutes to go then i get to leave but you remember you had to work bringing your face to an emotionless face taking notes to a small smile. Those 25 soon turned into 20 to 15 to 10 before you knew it, it was time to go to work. Driving to work you kept getting distracted but quickly pulling yourself back into reality. Parking your car you grabbed your white t- shirt and your apron for you to change into in the bathrooms, walking in the café you saw your co-worker already behind the counter. "I'll only be a minute." you say heading to the bathroom you saw him nod his head. "I'm back." "Ok are you sure you got all this by yourself while you wait for the others?" "Yes ofc." you say "Good luck." He says as he leaves and holds the door open from fixing your apron in the back you peaked your head around the corner and said "I will be with you in a minute." "No worries take your time." Walking back to the cash register having your head down making your there was nothing left on your apron that would qualify as 'unprofessional' you hear the customer say "Your Y/n right?" making you pick up your head and looked confused but answered "Yes?" "Oh yeah Matt talks about you all the time." "I thought you were Matt?" "No i'm his brother, Nick." "I didn't know he had a twin." "He's a triplet." "Wow i moved sophomore year and didn't know you or your other brother." "I don't think you have had any classes with us, that's why." "True. What can i get started for you?" "Oh yeah can i get a latte and a scone." "Ok and for the latte art?" "A swan." "Will do, total is $5.34." he handed you the money "I will let you know when your order is done." He smiled and walked away from the counter sitting at one of the tables. Grabbed a plate put the scone on it and started making the latte getting the stuff to make the design.

Finished making the design as you called out for Nicks you placed his scone and latte on top of the glass windows ledge for him to pick up. "Wow it looks so good Y/n." "Thank you." Your café was never that busy because only a couple of people knew about it, cleaning up the mess you hear the door open and quickly glance putting the dirty dishes in the sink doing them later do you can help the customer now. "Hello what can i get started for you?" Looking up you faced Matt "Just a latte." "For the design?" "What do you have?" "We have a heart, swan, bee, butterfly, rose, dinosaur basically anything you can think of." "Can i have a pokémon one?" "Yes that will be $2.12." He handed you the cash and sat down next to Nick, not soon later you finished the design and placed it in the ledge for him to grab.

He grabbed the latte and smiled before going back to where he was sitting, after both of them finished their drinks and food they thanked you and left. Nothing else entertaining happened more customers showed up throughout the day though. It was 7:30, it was your turn for closing not even a few minutes finishing up the last few things you needed to check you heard the door open again. "I'm sorry, we're closed." "I know" was heard from another familiar voice but you couldn't but you couldn't figure out who it was you turned around to see Matt again. You scoffed "I'm almost done can you give me a few minutes." He hummed in response leaving the café partially, finished cleaning grabbing the keys to lock up you were faced with Matt once more. "Can we talk?" "What is there to talk about?" you respond with and start walking to your car "Y/n please." you reached your car and turned around waiting for him to continue talking. "I know i hav won't always been the nicest person to you-" you laughed a bit "-but i just wanted to explain why, i am sorry if i have ever made you feel bad about yourself like that one time sophomore year when you started crying. I truly didn't mean to make you cry i just wanted you to notice me, we never talked but we only did when i was being rude and that should've never been my excuse to talk to you. I just wanted to be friends with you if i'm being honest, i have beat myself up for always treated you like shit for these past few years and i wanted to sincerely apologize for that. But the whole reason why i'm saying this is because the only reason i picked on you was because i thought you were pretty and i just wanted to talk to you." "Than why didn't you?" "I was scared of rejection and didn't want to face it, that's why i kept doing it every year and i realized that i could never had a chance with you." "What are you saying." "I've liked you since you moved here Y/n, and im sorry for being rude and cruel to you all those years, you don't have to forgive my apology or any of what i am saying i just wanted to say this so i could get it off my chest." You were completely shocked you just stood there and blinked for a second and you couldn't find the right word due to complete shock. Still can't find the words you leaned closer to him giving him a kiss on the cheek, "I don't hate you i never have."
