Y/n's POV:

I woke up in Nick's bed as we usually had sleepovers at each others houses when we weren't busy, Nick was wide awake on his phone watching TikTok's. "Good morning handsome." he said as he kissed my forehead as I cuddled into him for a little bit as his heat radiated off of him making you warm and cozy not wanting to leave the bed. "What are we doing today?" I asked him, as we usually have everything all planned out since no time was usually made for whatever. But today was that day where neither one of you had anything planned on doing, something Nick has always brought up to me was going for a walk around the park at night and having a picnic date just the two of us. "Maybe we could do the picnic that you have wanted to do then a walk in the park, if you want to." "Yeah that sounds like fun, i'm so excited." "But first can we just lay here for a bit, i'm still not awake yet." "Yeah ofc, we can take as long as you need." He replied with, after laying in bed rambling about more date ideas for when both of us have time and neither of us are working. I decided to get dressed and read for the day telling Nick that we should probably start getting ready since we wanted to make things perfect we wanted to make sure that we had enough time to get everything ready. After Nick took a shower I was already dressed and did everything I needed to do, I was just making some sandwiches for the both of us while grabbing snacks along the way putting them into the bag we said we are going to take. Nick came out of the room and walked over to you rested his head on your shoulder looking at what you were making, he helped you pack the bag with all the drinks, snacks and blanket to sit on. 
I drove both of you guys to the nearest and non-crowded park, put the car in park as Nick reached into the backseat grabbing the bag. Both of us decided that we didn't want to be in a very open area just for privacy, I set up the blanket while Nick took out our drinks and put the by where we are sitting. We laid down on the blanket looking up at the sky as it was cloudy so the sun wasn't in our eyes, Nick talked about how we should spend some more time together. I couldn't agree more sometimes it felt like we could never see each other with them moving back and forth between LA and Mass but I don't mind, as long as he's happy i'm happy too. He has made it in being more successful during his career so far, I am so proud of him because he has persevered through so much and I always tell him that too. We are our snacks and sandwiches while continuing talking about a different topic every time one of us got sidetracked, "Oo do you wanna go and take a walk while continuing the conversation?" "Yeah, sure." We packed up our trash, blanket and anything we may have left behind putting it all into the backpack, not long after we found the trail which leaded to the forest. We have never been down this trail so we decided to take a look at the map and we saw a sign that said waterfall by it, "There's a waterfall?!" Nick asked "Oh it's gonna be so pretty wanna go walk to it?" "That's not even a question, let's go." He said, it was only like 1 mile to the waterfall from the starting point so before we knew it we smelled the fresh sent of the water and trees around us. We walked the the side trail to the waterfall and took pictures of it, I ofc took pictures of Nick for his instagram with the waterfall behind him. Walking back on the trail we talked about the deepest and hardest times in our lives, I always liked having these conversations with him as we could both put in perspective how delicate humans are bringing us to believe that everything happens for a reason weather you wanted to believe it or not. I always felt so blessed to have Nick there right by my side whenever I needed him to be, he is the best boyfriend, friend, and person i've ever met.
