Aniyah and Zephaniah had just enjoyed a delightful lunch, their laughter and shared interests making the outing truly special. Now, as they strolled back to Aniyah's place, a sense of comfort and ease enveloped them.

The chemistry between the two was undeniable, and Aniyah felt a warm connection blossoming. It amazed her how Zephaniah had become a captivating distraction, drawing her away from the past and leading her toward a brighter future. Simultaneously, Zephaniah was pleasantly surprised by his newfound genuine interest in someone, finding himself utterly charmed by Aniyah's presence.

Despite having feelings for her, Zephaniah remained determined to focus on his plans. He was determined to dig deeper into Clovel after uncovering his identity. Running a facial scan on Clovel didn't yield as much information as he had hoped for – Clovel seemed like a complete enigma, a true ghost.

Aniyah held Zephaniah's hand as they walked towards her home. Unlocking the door, she let him in, and he was genuinely pleased with the pleasant atmosphere of her place.

"You've got a nice home," Zephaniah complimented her.

"Thank you," she replied, smiling as she shut the door behind them. Zephaniah's observant nature led him to notice the nails in the wall where artwork once was.

"Ignore how blank the walls are, I had a lot of my exes art up in here and I got rid of it. I'm in the process of finding some new pieces ," she explained.

"He's an artist?" Zephaniah inquired.

"Yeah, he is – which should've been a red flag," she said, picking up the paintings and moving them. "Would you like anything to drink?"

"A water is fine," Zephaniah replied, glancing around the room. He noticed several pictures of the same female in many of them, pausing at one particular photo with a familiar face. He picked it up and examined it closely.

"Sorry about that one; it's my best friend's birthday, and he happened to be in it with her. It's the only pic we had of that night," Aniyah explained.

"Why are you sorry?" Zephaniah asked.

"That's my ex," she confirmed, handing him the bottled water. "The artist."

"Ah, I see. That's the one you didn't finish telling me about right?" Zephaniah inquired curiously.

"Yeah. We broke up cause he was cheating. He cheated multiple times, but when I did it – he retaliated by beating the guy up. I just found out recently he did that," Aniyah revealed.

"Beating?" Zephaniah raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, he's part of some wannabe gang – OHB or whatever. Some of the guys are serious bout that life but Clovel def a pussy. I mean, I never witnessed much, he kept me in the dark about what he did," she explained.
