Los Angeles, California
- Tuesday, July 31st

Clovel meticulously readied his home for this special date. To ensure everything was perfect, he enlisted the assistance of his trusted old housekeeper, Mr. Henry Henson, who had been by his side for years. Together, they worked to create an inviting and charming atmosphere that would set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Since Tiana didn't seem deeply troubled by the situation, Clovel concentrated on their upcoming date. Despite his lingering concerns, he made a conscious choice to put those aside for her sake. He continued with their plans and maintained his usual routine, even sending fresh flowers with a note on Monday as he always did.

Clovel had informed Carmen about telling Tiana, and they both agreed not to bring up the issue again to avoid causing unnecessary distress.

Surprisingly, Tiana's reaction was quite genuine; she felt a sense of peace and found herself unfazed by the fact that Zephaniah was in California.

As the days passed, the anticipation of their date grew, offering a welcome distraction from the worries that had briefly entered their lives.

As the day of their planned date dawned, Clovel took in the carefully curated setting, appreciating the effort that had gone into its preparation. Letting out a satisfied sigh, he checked the time and realized he needed to head out to pick up Tiana. This particular date was scheduled for an earlier hour than any of their previous rendezvous.

An Hour Later

Tiana couldn't contain her excitement as she snapped a picture before heading out from the lobby to the car. She was thrilled to see what Clovel had planned for their special night together.

Clovel stood outside his car, a smile playing on his lips as he watched her approach him.

"—Wow—you look amazing. I love your hair," he exclaimed, clearly taken aback by her appearance.

"Thank you," she responded, her own smile lighting up her face. "I tried to keep it casual, just like you said."

"It's perfect, mama," he praised, taking her hand and opening the car door for her.
"You really like it?" Tiana asked, looking up at him.
