Noah had just left. he would be back in a bit for dinner. I felt so bad that I had to work while Jack got to live his dream for a day so I had to make it up to him some way. And I know how big of a fan he is of Noah, so I invited him to dinner. I seasoned the steaks and then put them on the grill. While they were cooking I put the baked potatoes in the oven and made a salad. I set 3 places at the dining table. Jack had gone upstairs to shower and change. I cooked the steaks to about a medium then brought them in. I took the potatoes out of the oven and brought out the fixins. I grabbed the salad out of the fridge and 3 plates.
soon enough Noah arrived back at my house. I let him in and showed him the table. As he sat down I went and got Jack from upstairs. The boys sat down at the table.
"I made baked potatoes and a salad with the steaks. Noah, how would you like your potato? I have salt, pepper, bacon, cheese, and sour cream" I asked him
"I'll have all the toppings please," he said I already know what Jack wants
"Alright and what drink can I get you? I have Dr. Pepper, sweet tea, lemonade, and water" I asked
"I'll take a sweet tea please," he told me
I went and made our plates and drinks. I gave everyone their food and we ate. We talked about baseball the whole dinner. After dinner, I put all the dishes in the sink so I can wash them.
"If you would like I have dessert as well," I told him
"What do you have?" He asked
"Well I have a homemade Ice cream cake, cookies, and chocolate cake trifle," I said
"I'll try a slice of the chocolate trifle please and thank you," he said
"Jack you want anything," I asked
"I'll have the same," He said
I got 2 slices of the trifle and gave it to them. While they ate I did the dishes and fed River. Noah stayed for another hour talking to Jack. I was so happy to see Jack smile and have fun. Jack doesn't know this but we're only half-siblings, and I've always treated him as my full brother. We have the same mom but different dads. My dad isn't in my life anymore, and I'm not mad about that.
After they were done eating we said our goodbyes to Noah.
"Did you have fun today?" I asked Jack
"yeah, I got to learn all their trick plays, normal plays, and dances. It was so fun." He told me as he helped clean up a bit
"I'm so glad you had fun tonight, well I'm gonna go ahead and go feed Diesel you can do whatever," I told him heading outside
I turned on my music and grabbed Diesel's food. I put it in his bucket and filled his water bucket up. I made sure his stall was shut all the way and went to the second story of the stable. This is where I keep all his supplies and other things. I was putting the lid on his food when 'Train Wreck' By James Arthur came on. This is the song that I won the world nationals with.
Something in my body clicked. I suddenly remembered the routine.

I stood up and took a breath, and took the moment in. It felt so good to dance again. With work, I haven't had time to dance.
"That was beautiful" I spun around to face whoever was there
"Did you just see that whole thing?" I asked Noah
"Yeah sorry Jack told me you were back here," he told me
"Oh, what can I do for you?" I asked him
"Well, I was wondering if maybe you would want to go on a date with me sometime?" he asked
"yeah that would be lovely, why don't I give you my number and we can set a date and time," I said
We exchanged numbers and walked downstairs.
"Jack told me you used to be a dancer." He said
"Yeah, there was a point where I was top 2 in Georgia. I'm a national champion 6 times. so I guess you could say I dance" I told him smiling
"Well that dance was amazing, I've never seen anything so graceful," he told me
"Thank you so much, that just brought so much weight off my shoulder and I don't know why," I told him
"Doing the things you love makes you so much happier and I would know. When I'm not having a good day Baseball is my escape, and it seems like dance is your escape," he told me
"It is, along with animals. they are the 2 things I have always loved" I said
we walked out to the driveway and he got into his car. I said goodbye and he left. I walked back into the house and locked the doors. Jack had already gone up to bed I assumed. I fed my bunnies and changed then went to bed.

hey guys so sorry I haven't been updating this as much as I wanted to. Right now I just have a lot going on so I haven't been able to update as much. This chapter is more of a filler. Hopefully, I will be able to update more these next few days.
