Chapter Fourteen: Is It Okay?

[Amy POV]

I couldn't get a wink of sleep, after that night I've been so focused on Shadow! The way he eats or the way he watches tv, even when he talks to the others, I couldn't take my eyes off him. I think they all think I've gone insane, I haven't left his side and I followed him everywhere.

"Amy..." I smiled feeling my heart skip a beat when he said my name, It usually does but now it's twice as much! "Yes, Shadow?" I said with a grin, he turned to glare at me, "I can go into the bathroom by myself!" He snapped as he slammed the door in my face, I giggled as I waited outside, he was too adorable. "Amy, what's gotten into you both recently? You look ridiculous sitting outside the bathroom." I looked over to see Silver enjoying a lollipop. "Hmph, I'm just waiting for Shadow!" I said proudly, "you look like a dog attached to it's owner, did something happen between you both?" Silver said snickering at how silly I looked, I pouted folding my arms. "Yes actually! Me and Shadow are closer than ever!" 

"Really? So why did he kick you out of the bathroom?" Silver taunted, I felt my heart crush as I bit my bottom lip angry, "he didn't! I-I just know privacy! I can enter anytime I want-"

"Will you both give it a break!" Shadow said slamming the door open glaring at us both, "geez, both of you are like children." Shadow said annoyed walking away but I quickly followed close behind, I didn't even noticed Silver also following us as well. "You know, I like this side and all, but I miss the Amy who would talk to me too you know?" Silver said pouting his lips, I rolled my eyes, "yeah, yeah." I said sarcastically.

"And Shadow too! I miss his attitude when he was so grouchy, now he's all happy and dandy~" Silver said rushing over to Shadow side basically standing in front of me blocking my way, "hey!" I said annoyed trying to push him, I couldn't see the expression Shadow was making to Silver but it seemed to have amused Silver more!

"Let me guess, you kissed?" I blushed completely red as I froze into place thinking about him kissing my forehead. "Wait- really?! You kissed? Who made the first move!" Silver asked grabbing Shadow's shoulders shaking him excited, "we didn't!" Shadow said smacking Silvers hands away, "what!? Then why is she reacting that way?" He said pointing at me as I try to cover my flustered face. "I kissed her forehead." Shadow sighed walking off leaving us both behind.

I looked up seeing Shadow's expression not change at all. Was it really just a kiss on the forehead? Nothing more? I felt embarrassed thinking about a silly forehead kiss now, I kind a thought it was like a promise..

"Promise..." I muttered suddenly reminded of a promise we made in the past, it was after he asked for my hand that we made a promise. "A promise?" I looked up surprised to see Silver still standing there as he chewing on the lollipop stick, "it's nothing." I said hurrying to catch up to Shadow. As I rushed out I was surprised to see him gone already, his bike was gone too. "He forgot about me!" I said annoyed, "you know I don't blame him, he came to talk to Blaze about the curse but she's not here today." Silver said with a shrug. 

"What should I do now?" I asked looking at Silver giving him puppy dog eyes, he stared for a moment before sighing, "fine. I'll teleport you home." Silver said with a chuckle as he placed his hand on my shoulder slowly teleporting us to Shadow's house.

I sat on the couch waiting for Shadow to return home, it's been a few hours already and I'm bored! "I wonder.." I closed my eyes envisioning that night going differently, what if he kissed me? Would he be okay with that? I blushed as I covered my face squealing happily. "Wait- what are we?" I sat up straight realizing we went on a lovely date! And then... Then we shared a small moment but what does that make us?! I stood up pacing around wanting Shadow to hurry home now.
