Reem's POV
.

I was in deep sleep but I could feel someone shaking my arm, I didn't want to wake up, I was peaceful.

"Reem wake up" the annoying voice said, I forced myself to open my eyes, I turned my head to see the nuisance. I looked at Zaeem, he was sleeping, then why has he disturbed my sleep?

"What is your problem Izhaan, why are you not letting me sleep?" I whisper yelled at him

"Jaan it's your medicine time, please take it, then you can go back to sleep" he whispered, I narrowed my eyes at him

"Bilkul hospital mei kaam karne wali nurse lag rahe ho jinhe patient k araam se koi gharz nahi hota, bas pohoch jati hai dawaiya leke (you are looking like a nurse, who has nothing to do with patients comfort, and they just want them to take medicine)" I was angry at him, but he laughed

"I don't care what I look like, I can be anything to take care of you" he gave me a goofy smile

"Just take these medicines away and let me sleep"

"Take it then you can sleep"

"I'll take later" I said and rested my head back at the pillow

"Reem, evening medicine you can only take in the evening" he kept on irritating me.

I sat up straight in anger, and snatched the pills from his hand, I quickly gulped it down.

"Good girl! Now you can sleep, I will not disturb you" he patted my cheek lightly, I quickly laid down and closed my eyes. I was about to sleep when Zaeem started crying. I quickly got up

"It's ok Reem! You can sleep, I will handle him" he said

"You please let it be, I will take care of him" I insisted, but before I could even touch him, izhaan quickly picked him up and started pacing around the room while rocking his arms.

"Give him to me" I shouted since I was too weak to run to him and snatch Zaeem from him.

"You relax jaan, I can take care of him" he started rocking harder, he was still crying loudly

"Izhaan please" I requested, but he gave it a deaf ear, suddenly the door burst opened and maa entered

"What happened? Why is he crying?" Maa asked, before he could reply, she took Zaeem from Izhaan

"Why are you crying?" Maa asked, "I'm taking him to my room," she said

"Let him be here Maa" Izhaan said, maa glared at him and walked outside.

"Go after her" I said, he came towards the bed and laid down next to me.

"Maa is not going to let him go, so just relax and go back to sleep"

He pulled me to him

"Izhaaaaaan, leave me" I said

"I don't feel like leaving you" he said

He put my head on his arm and pulled me closer to him, I wanted to stay awake, but it was so comfortable being in his arms that I didn't realise when I fell asleep.

I picked up Zaeem along with his bedding from my lap and placed him on the bed and laid next to him.

He just got his stomach full, and now he was smiling looking at me. I leaned towards him.

"What are you looking at, my baby?" I said in a baby voice, he gave me a small smile

"You are so cute, I love you so much" I kissed his small hands

It was the first time since his arrival that it was just me and him, otherwise someone is always is there with us, mostly it's Izhaan.
