Don't say I never did anything for you guys because Jesus Christ this chapter is huge. Like, normal chapters? 2,000 words. This one? 9,000. Prepare for the worst emotional rollercoaster of your life.

(We skipped episode 5 because it was a mostly Scott and Allison episode with not a lot of super important info.)

(3rd P.O.V.)

-Time Skip-

-A Couple Days Later-

"So it wasn't the hunters who killed her?" Isaac frowns, walking alongside Lyrica and Derek, grocery bags in all of their hands.

"Apparently not." Derek rolls his eyes. "Which just puts us back at square one with this whole mess."

"How in the world do the people in Beacon Hills not see the constant commotion going on? I mean, an animal wouldn't be killing so many people like this."

"The human mind is a complex puzzle that we may never understand." Lyrica shrugs. "Most people around here seem to not ask questions, though. Just go with the flow."

"That's so weird."

The trio reaches the Camaro, carefully piling all the bags into the trunk when Derek suddenly stops.

"You alright, D-Derek?" Isaac stutters, frowning at himself.

"Scott's here." Derek explains, obviously listening to something the teen can't hear as he looks around the parking garage above them.

"Okay?"

"Go ahead, Babe. We'll wait here." Lyrica chuckles.

"I'll be quick." Derek kisses her cheek before promptly running off.

"I'm so confused." Isaac continues to frown, watching as Lyrica turns and digs a bag of gummy worms out of one of the grocery bags before closing the trunk and hopping up to sit on it.

"Impromptu training is the best training for young or new werewolves." She explains with a smile. "We get to sit back and enjoy the show."

"So Scott's about to be scared shitless?" Isaac chuckles, sitting beside the young woman.

"Exactly."

Together, the mother and son crack open the bag of gummy worms and wait for their own personal show to begin. Moments later, they hear someone running and crane their heads to see Scott rounding the corner. He's too wrapped in his fear to realize the two are mere yards away, and dives to hide behind a large truck. Lyrica smirks as she chews, the boy's frantic heartbeat blaring in her ears. She's surprised, however, when he moves yet again and begins jumping from car to car, setting off the alarms.

"Oh, that's smart." Isaac whispers as quietly as possible.

"Very." Lyrica agrees, just as quiet. "So long as there's no other sounds, he's in the clear."

Scott runs and dives behind another car again, stopping to catch his breath. He somehow still doesn't see Isaac and Lyrica, casually eating gummy worms as they watch him panic.

"I think he's safe." Isaac decides after a moment of nothing but car alarms.

"Hold that thought." Lyrica smirks, knowing the boy never put his phone on silent.

Sure enough, the ringtone begins blaring, alerting everyone of Scott's exact location. He's so busy scrambling to turn off the phone, he doesn't notice Derek closing in on him until he's being slammed on top of the car he was hiding behind.
