"Pass me that."

"Pass you what?"

"That!"

"I need descriptive words here, Tony!"

"Jesus," huffs Tony, moving away from the droid he'd been working on to quickly snatch up a screw before hustling back over, sticking it in the mechanized body. "I thought you were smart, Casey Mathis."

Irina sends a scowl his way. "For the last time, stop calling me characters Emma Roberts has and keeps playing. It's getting old."

"No can do, Jill Roberts. It's too fun."

"Asshole," she huffs, flipping off the billionaire, who returns the gesture with his signature shit-eating grin.

Banner smiles at them from where he was working on linking the bots to J.A.R.V.I.S.' protocols. "Be nice, kids," he chastises with amusement.

The two scientists had been working on a group of security droids to help contain and evacuate citizens from the area the Avengers would be fighting threats in. The idea came shortly after New York, and it would especially help over foreign waters, and communicating with local citizens and police. Especially with J.A.R.V.I.S.' translation protocol in multiple foreign languages.

"The Iron Legion", Tony wanted to call it. Irina snorted at the name when it first came to thought, but it was growing on her slowly.

The legion of Stark droids was still under heavy development, since Tony had to build most of them from scratch until he and Banner could finish the electrical workshop down below and upload J.A.R.V.I.S. into it.

Irina helped when she could, given the natural smarts she'd reluctantly begun to admit she had, but since she wasn't gifted the same education options Tony had, she was lacking in most of the advanced areas.

Growing tired from where she was sitting on one of their slightly less messy desks that were scattered across the room, Irina hops off it, stretching. "I'll leave you nerds to your tech, now. I've got a place to be," she says.

Tony doesn't look up from the bot he was working on. "'Kay. Bring back takeout. I'm craving some meat," he says, off-handedly digging into the back pocket of his jeans and tossing her his wallet, which she catches as she strides out.

"But you have Banner right there!" Irina calls over her shoulder, grinning wickedly when Tony curses loudly after jolting so hard he hits his hand on something in the bot's body, and Banner effectively drops the Starkpad he had in his hands on his foot, and curses more softly.

"Bitch!" Tony shouts after her, only receiving her barking laughter in return.

Queens is all she remembered it as and more.

Irina walks the familiar streets and roads, familiar faces passing by. Ms. Loosie walks her dog Tina past Delmar's, Mr. Fizzo reads the newspaper by his hotdog stand, and Mrs. Wiltman waves goodbye to her wife and daughter from the doorstep as they walk to the store.

Familiar people.

Familiar smells.

And...

"Emmy! Emmy!"

A body is sent barreling into her, sending Irina stumbling back with a surprised shout, before she's grinning immediately, and wrapping her arms around the small body attached to her like a magnet. "Peter!" She laughs.
