Hailey’s POV
It was so close! So close! Damn it. Seth, I won’t call him Tyler in my mind because I’m already used to Seth, broke our staring contest, which, I tell you, will lead to a kiss, my first kiss from my first love. Okay, I think I already said too much.
It seems to me that he stopped trying to kiss me because of the arguing children. Seth took a glance to the children because he heard them arguing. So instead of taking my first kiss, he helped the children to stop fighting. It was actually cute though.
He is being so sweet and kind to others. He’s so cute when he does that. He just takes good care of everyone else, like he does to me. He’s worried for his loved ones. That’s why he explained everything to me.
I’m trying my best not to expect that much from him, but I just can’t stop myself. I like him; actually, I think I love him.
I’m not sure though whether he didn’t kiss me because he didn’t want to in the first place or he was scared of the consequences or he was just distracted by the arguing children.
Anyway, after not taking my first kiss, he went to help the children who were shouting at each other.
“You’re it! Don’t LIE. I touched your back!” One boy with a striped shirt said.
“No you didn’t!!” The other boy with a red shirt said.
“I did touch you! Ask John! He saw it!!”
A child, who must be John, with blonde hair walked forward and said, “Yeah, I saw Mike touched your back!” John said as he pointed his finger towards the boy with a red shirt.
The boy with the red shirt was just about to cry when Seth reached them.
“Hey, don’t fight.” Seth said as he patted the boy with a red shirt. The face of the children became sad. They bowed their heads and probably felt guilty of the happenings. Seth then tried to comfort the boy and said, “Don’t cry, little man. Show them you’re a man!” Seth smiled as the child looked at him.
The child nodded and wiped his tears away.
“What’s your name?” Seth asked the child.
“Josh,” Josh said as he wiped his final tears away.
“Okay, Josh, let’s play instead.” Seth said and continued, “Let’s all play instead.” Seth offered with an enthusiastic face.
Suddenly, the children’s face lit up and smiled to him.
“SERIOUSLY??!!!..” Mike, with the striped shirt, said.
Seth nodded and everyone jumped with glee.
Some of the children were clapping and doing the high-five with others.
“Okay, I’ll be the it and –“ Seth saw some young girls sitting at the bench. They seemed to be bored and interested in the game.
“Is it alright with you guys if we ask them to join us?” Seth asked as he pointed the young girls.
“Sure!!!” Some shouted while some nodded and smiled.
Then Mike teased Josh and said, “Josh has a crush on one of those girls.”
“Which one of them?” Well, Seth didn’t have to ask that because a girl with a pink top was blushing and smiling and was hiding behind her friend.
“Her, the girl with a pink shirt.” Seth nodded and looked at Josh who was blushing too.
“I’ll ask if they want to join.” Seth finally said and Josh looked excited.
The girls joined the game and suddenly Seth pulled me into the game and said, “Come and join us.” Seth smiled and used his cuteness and handsomeness to me.
Yes, he is both cute and handsome.
“I’ll give you a chance to run. I’ll give you 10 seconds!!” Seth announced and everyone ran for his or her lives. Children hid inside the slide. Some hid behind a tree. There I was, standing and not sure what to do.
Finally, Seth finished counting and I was still not ready.
“Why do you make it so easy for me?” Seth asked me and ran to me. I ran away, but I was not fast enough. He caught me, but I tripped over! He tried to catch me, but instead he fell with me.
He was hugging me when we reached the grass. I can feel his arms around me. He’s biceps were visible and I can feel it with his hug. Then I heard a child and a boy shouted, “So that’s why you wanted to play with us. To play with—“ Seth looked at the child seriously and the child stopped himself.
Finally, Seth stood up and let me go. Then he ran towards the boy who teased him and tried to catch others as well.
And that’s how we spent our time together at the park.
