Chapter 19
Hailey was woken up by her phone. Her phone won't stop ringing because someone was calling.
Then she suddenly remembered Seth.
Was I dreaming that he texted me? Or was that real? Hailey thought.
She reached for her phone from her bed and looked at the name of the caller.
It was Ethan who was calling her.
Hailey answered her phone and she heard Ethan telling her to get ready because they'll be going to the mall today. But before Hailey can argue that she was sleepy, Ethan hanged up.
So, Hailey dragged herself out of her bed and took a warm bath.
While still taking a bath, Hailey heard the doorbell ring. She tried to take a bath faster but she was just too sleepy.
After getting into her clothes, Hailey ran downstairs and saw Ethan drinking coffee with her mom.
"Good morning, Hailey." Hailey's mom remarked.
"Good morning mom." Hailey kissed her mom's cheek.
Hailey sat beside Ethan while Ethan offered her a cup of coffee.
"No thanks." Hailey replied.
"Listen mom," Hailey said, "Ethan and I have to go to the mall."
"Why?" Hailey's mom asked.
"We just want to hang out..." Hailey replied.
"What will you guys do there?"
Ethan butted in and said, "We can go shopping, watch movies, and eat lunch..."
Hailey's mom simply nodded while drinking her coffee.
"Was that a yes?" Hailey asked.
"Of course, just be home around seven in the evening," Hailey's mom answered.
"Okay..." Hailey said while she stood from her seat and Ethan followed.

Inside the car, Ethan talked about the things that he and Hailey can do together.
"Then after that we can go to the arcade and play some basketball..."
"That sounds like fun!" Hailey commented. Hoping she sounded excited.
She doesn't know why she's not as excited as she was last night. Last night, she was jumping up and down to hang out with Ethan and now, she's upset about something.
Ugh... Why do I have to feel upset today? I mean, Ethan is a great friend. He's fun to hang out with. Hailey's mind thought. But the other side added, not as fun as Seth...
Okay, maybe I do miss Seth. Hailey admitted. I just want him to be here by my side. I just want to see his face and see his wonderful smile. Hailey sighed heavily.
"Are you okay?" Ethan asked.
Hailey nodded and smiled to cover up her sadness.
"I promise you that today will be an extraordinary day." Ethan swore and raised his right hand.
That made Hailey chuckle and Ethan chuckled back.
But Ethan's okay too... Ethan is a great friend... He is... He really is... Hailey thought.

At the mall, people were everywhere, walking from here to there.
The first thing that Ethan and Hailey did was to look at the movies that were available to watch.
But there were no more movies left.
Every movie from the cinema was sold out. There was a movie that will be available but it will be screened on eight in the evening.
So Hailey and Ethan decided to just walk around and go shopping. Hailey tried her best not to think and worry about Seth because she doesn't want Ethan to think that she doesn't care about him.
Hailey smiled and laughed along with Ethan from time to time. But her smiles and laughs weren't pushed or fake. She really was having fun with Ethan.
They went to the arcade and played basketball. They sang in a karaoke room wherein no one will hear them. Even though Ethan didn't sound that good, he still tried his best to sing.
