"This looks very nice" Cassie said admiring the now decorated room in Elijah tattoo place, thank to the help of Chris and Rakim for helping me put everything together "Can I be your first customer?" Cassie asked taking a seat on the chair

"Of course" I said taking a seat , "what are you doing?"

"Just polish" Cassie said "So, you and Eli?"

"We' just friends" I simply said removing her old nail polish

"Mhm, yall haven't hung out since he got back from New York ?" She said eating chips with her free hand

"No, he's been busy and I've been busy with school. I'll see him when I would come to organize my stuff, but we haven't hang out since" I simply said throwing out the cotton ball

"He's a workaholic , but he's very nice guy" Cassie said

"He is, but how you feeling after finding out it's a boy?" I asked my sister and she smiled

"Excited, happy, joy and so on. I'm excited to become a mom" she said with a wide smile, we kept talking and catching up until I was done with her nails and she had to go to work.

With the clock ticking towards noon, I hastily gathered my belongings, glancing at the time—11:27 am. As I fumbled to secure the door behind me, my mind was preoccupied with the day's plans. That's when, in my haste, I inadvertently collided with Elijah. His expression held a blend of surprise and genuine delight at our unexpected encounter.

"I didn't know you'll be here today" he said with a grin

"I came in to make sure everything was in order and had my first client" I said

"I had told some of my clients to let their girl, mama, sisters whoever know that you do nails" he said with a sincere smile

"That means a lot, Eli," I expressed, gratitude evident in my voice. For a moment, we simply stood there, locked in a silent exchange that spoke volumes.

Breaking the silence, Elijah queried, "You free at 2?"

Wishing I could accept his invitation wholeheartedly, I regretfully replied, "I've got a class until 2:10."

Leaning casually against the wall, Elijah proposed, "Let me take you out for lunch. It's been a while; we can catch up and talk."

Appreciating the offer, I eagerly agreed, "Yeah, just send me a text with the place, and I'll be there."

Acknowledging my response with a nod and a warm smile, Elijah bid me farewell, saying, "Take care, drive safe."

I rushed to campus, your heart pounding with a mix of excitement and anxiety. With my essay in hand, I hurried to your class. As I entered the classroom, the instructor and my classmates were already present, and I felt a rush of relief that I made it on time. I approached my instructor and, with a sense of accomplishment, handed in my neatly printed essay. My instructor accepted it with a nod of acknowledgment, and I took my seat, knowing that I had successfully completed this important task.
