"Take care of the tat lil homie" he said wrapping her arm, after two hours we were finally leaving
"Appreciate Eli" India said getting up and I got up with her, we all walked to the front of the shop seeing India taking out her wallet and paying
"Tell your brother to text me" Elijah said leaning on the desk
"If he comes home today" India chuckled
"You going to the party next week?" He asked
"It's my sis birthday that day" India said smiling pointing at me
"Ii, well it was nice meeting you Nolani" I was surprised he remembered my name
"Nice meeting you too" I told him, and we walked outside feeling the hot California sun
"To the mall we goooo!" India hyped self said as we walked to the car "We about to find your birthday outfit"
"What we finna do?" I asked putting my seatbelt on while she drove off putting the windows down
"Finna do for what?" She asked glancing at me
"My birthday" I said in a duh tone
"Ohh, we finna turned up get you littt" she said doing a semi twerk on her seat and I chuckled
"Litt you mean how? Cause we know that your litt and my litt are two different things" I said looking at her
"You'll see Lani, you'll have the best day of your life the day" India said getting on the highway to make it faster to get there

"Try this on" India said passing a couple of dresses while eating a pretzel, I grabbed the racks
"That's enough" I said looking at the other rack on the chair
"Alright , try them on" she said and I walked in the fitting room putting the ones I had on my hair on the chair and closing the door
I tried on a purple dress, which it had a open back. I didn't like it cause of the neck part.
Showed too much skin for me, I'm not used to showing a lot of skin.
I walked out making sure no one was around and showed India the dress
"Turn around" I slowly turn around "You feel confident?"
"Ion like it" she nodded, I went back in and tried some more, until I tried the glitter dress
"This is the one" I mumble to myself, I walked out showing India and she smile
"It's looks so good on you, so this the one?" I nodded my head, looking at myself in the mirror
"Let's go" I went back into the fitting room changing back to my clothe, and grabbing the dress, we walked to the cashier paying it.
"Cassie said she's out of work" I told India once we made it out the store
"Tell her to be outside in 10 minutes" we walked to the parking lot making our way to the car
"Have you ever thought of doing someone different to your hair?" India asked as she drove off
"Besides cutting it, no"
"You should try wigs, I got a friend that she's really good at it"
"I'll try it" India nodded
"I'll make the appointment, and let you know"
We kept talking about other stuff, and we finally pulled up to my grandmas seeing Cassie sitting outside with my cousin Chris which I haven't seen in weeks. He was standing against the fence with a blunt between his lips. He was like a big brother to me, always treated me like a little sister.

"Wassup Luna" he said blowing out some smoke, hugging me
"Nothing much about to get some food" I said pulling away and hugging cassie after
"Eli said to text him, and where's my niece?" India asked taking the blunt from him, he nodded
"With her mother, give me my shit back. Get me some food sis" he took it back going inside the house
"So let's go get some tacos" cassie said getting up, and we walked to the place which it wasn't far from my grandmas house.
When we made it , there was a line. But it wasn't that long .
My phone started ringing seeing it was my father calling, and I decided not to answer just because I know he going to be questioning me.
"How was your new job?" India asked cassie
"It was good, I really enjoy it" she said "What y'all been up to?"
"We went to the tattoo shop, India wanted to get a tattoo and then went to find my birthday dress"
"So you letting us get you litt?" Cassie said raising her eyebrow
"I mean sure why not" I said and India smile
"I can't waittt, either way she had no choice" India said pulling out her phone that was ringing and she excuse herself
Cassie and I kept talking till it was our turn to other. We ordered our food along with India's since she was still on the phone.
Today I really enjoy my day since I barely got to hang with them because of school and then church class that I had to attend.
