I woke up with a headache, I look to my side seeing I was alone in Cassie's room. I decided to take my wig off, even though I spend lots of money for it but my head was killing me. I grabbed my bag going in the shower to take a quick shower and doing my hygiene. When I change clothes, I walked into cassies room putting my bag back on the dresser. I did a quick ponytail, grabbing my phone seeing it was 2 in the afternoon and I had a lot of missed from my parents.
"Damn, i missed Church" I mumble to myself, walking downstairs seeing Chris laying on the couch with his hands on top of his eyes, I walked in the kitchen reheating the food my grandma made
"How you feeling Lani?" Rakim said walking in washing his place
"I have a headache, but I feel okay" he nodded going to the medicine cabinet
"Take this" he said giving me a pain killer, and he grabbed a cup of orange juice and I grabbed it thanking him, taking the pill
"The girls are outside, we all chilling in the front" he told me and I nodded taking my food out the microwave. Even though the hunger was killing me, I quickly prayed and started eating it.
When I was done I washed my dish walking out side, seeing My cousins and grandma chilling.
"Look who woke up" India said smiling looking at me, while she helped Darryl plant some flower on the pots
I see gma got them doing chores
"Your mother called, she was mad you ain't showed up to church but I got it handled" Gma said with a sincere smile and I nodded
But i hope she did, cause this one the first time I ever missed church. Even if I was sick or had a lot of homework to do, I couldn't miss it. I really enjoy staying at my grandma house.
"Want to help Lani?" Rakim asked as he got more flowers from my grandma trunk, I nodded walking towards him "So place this on the porch" he said pointing to the different color pots
We planted flowers throughout the afternoon, and crack some jokes to make it a little bit more fun. When we was done, Chris finally gotten up sitting on the rocking chair. Gma walked out with some lemonade and baked cookies. We all thanked her, seeing Elijah walked towards us.
"Elijah!" My grandma got off the porch and hugged him "It's been a while since I seen you"
"I know Gma" he chuckled
"I'll get you some lemonade" she smiled walking inside the house, he sat down on the porch steps, I mentally rolled my eyes when I seen my father pulled up with my mom.
