~MOUSE~

The dense forest loomed around Ophelia as she sprinted towards the Eastern edge, her breaths echoing around her.

The ragged cadence of her inhalations mirrored the urgency that fuelled her every step.

The haunting shadows of the trees played tricks on her, dancing in the moonlight like phantoms as she navigated through the labyrinthine thicket.

A searing pain throbbed through her side, each step exacerbating the agony from the stab wound that marred her otherwise determined stride.

It was a bad wound.

The crimson stain on her tactical gear was a testament to the precariousness of her situation, but Ophelia pressed on.

She might end up dizzy from blood loss, but she wouldn't die, which was a win in her books.

She couldn't afford to succumb to the pain.

Her teammate's lives hung in the balance.

Clutching her rifle tightly, she burst through the thicket and into a small clearing.

The moon cast an ethereal glow upon the snow-covered ground, revealing the clandestine battlefield where Roze and Zero fought against an overwhelming force.

At least forty men.

"Well fuck," Ophelia grumbled as she flicked the safety of the rifle off.

She let the adrenaline surge through her veins, momentarily dulling the pain.

With a swift, desperate motion, Ophelia threw herself behind a snow mound, using it as a makeshift cover.

The cold seeped through her gear, but the urgency of the moment overpowered the discomfort.

Gritting her teeth, she peered over the mound, her keen eyes scanning the chaotic scene in front of her.

Roze and Zero were locked in a fierce struggle, surrounded by adversaries closing in from all sides.

Ophelia's heart raced as she assessed the dire predicament they were in.

Bullets tore around them as Roze and Zero fired from behind a small metal crate.

Time was of the essence, and her training kicked in.

She had to act with precision.

Her hands tightened around the cold metal of her rifle as she steadied her aim.

Despite the pain throbbing through her side, she took a deep breath, focusing her attention on the task at hand.

The crosshairs of her scope centred on a strategic point, a vantage that could turn the tide in their favour.

"Zero, Roze! Move right!" Ophelia's voice cut through the chaos, authoritative and clear.

The urgency in her tone left no room for hesitation.

With practised precision, Zero and Roze reacted to Ophelia's command.

Dropping and rolling across the ground.

Their movements were synchronized, a testament to the unspoken bond forged through countless missions.

As they shifted to the right, Ophelia seized the opportunity, her finger tightening on the trigger.

The rifle recoiled against her shoulder as her shot sailed through the air and hit one of the men square in the head.

She kept going, each shot echoing through the forest.
