Pomni and Jax don't know it yet, but they are falling for each other, with Pomni unsure if Jax is teasing/flirting with her, and Jax slowly caring more and more about their relationship as friends which is slowly becoming much more than just friends...
Editors note: Au update: Pomni has been in the circus for months now and currently it's 2024 for them (further into 2024 than just January) sorry if it's been awhile since I actually posted also sorry if the au doesn't make too much sense but lmk if you have au suggestions and yes I'm still taking requests for the main idea of a chapter but most likely I'll do one request at a time so normally I wouldn't put 2 requests into one chapter but anyways like a said some chapters before italics mean it's Pomni's diary, Jax pov oh and one more thing!

Thanks for the request, I'm not sure if this is gonna be a long chapter or not but this is either gonna be a long chapter or ima make another part for this chapter, also I just watched the beginning of the end video for murder drones, pretty excited for that! Anyways enjoy! Ugh.. when is she gonna wake up? It's been like 5 mins of me sitting here.. what's that? Is that a book just sitting on her bed? It says, 'Pomni's diary' wow maybe I should look through it and see the weird stuff she's been writing. Hmm.. it says, 'October 13th' this seems to be when she first came to the circus! I wonder how she made time to get paper and actually.. write 5 pages in 1 day.. geez. Anyways let me keep reading! 'I'm in the circus.. A scary digital world where you can't leave.. you can abstract and kind of.. die! It has its pros and cons but it seems to be more bad things than good things. I mean there's 1 way to die, that's a pro.. in the real world, you can die to all sorts of things! But.. a con for being in this dumb circus is it's kind of easy to abstract. Thinking about the exit too much will make you abstract. I mean it's kind of impossible not to think of the exit. What do they think? I just will never talk or think of the exit. I mean I'm curious! I don't know what my identity was back then.. when I was in the real world.. but I guess thinking about it too much.. thinking of an exit that I can go through.. and leave this place.. find my family.. friends.. pets too? I don't know but I think I should stop. Well diary I've come to a stopping point. They're calling me. Maybe I'll write again later I don't know. But I'll update you on this living situation later..' Geez, it seems she really likes to write! I mean this is a page full of not even a full day. How did you find a book with no words anyway? I wonder what she has in this diary a few months later.. alright it says 'January 10th' ugh.. she writes too much.. let me see if I can find anything actually good in this diary.. 'I've been able to make some new friend thankfully! I have Gangle, she gets bullied by Jax but I always try to make her feel better, then there's Ragatha, she's the mom of the circus, there's also Zooble, literally Jax's enemy, then Kinger, I'm surprised he hasn't abstracted yet, he's been here so long and I feel like he's the one who's been here the longest, other than Caine.' Pomni sure is right about how Kinger should've probably abstracted by now... anyways 'I feel like if Caine wasn't the ringmaster/host, he would've abstracted too, but I shouldn't be saying that because then maybe something bad will happen but anyways continuing, there's Caine, the ringmaster and he's kind of annoying but he means no harm even through he threw knives at me.. no harm.. ;)' Yeah she's write about how Caine is annoying! She's probably just too shy to say what she really feels.. I don't care though. 'Then the last guy who literally starts beef with everyone.. Jax. We aren't really friends but we talk kind of, and he of course pranks me a lot.. he once asked me to help him prank Gangle, of course I said no because Gangle is my friend! But I really wanna prank Ragatha, I just don't quite have the courage to ask Jax to help me... Maybe one day he'll ask me, then I wouldn't have to embarrass myself asking him.' Wow I've never seen Pomni try to prank someone, maybe this will be good. Now I have a sidekick to prank people, especially Ragatha. She is a bit hard to prank but no match for me. And since they are such good friends, Pomni can help me out! But anyways let me see if there's any more... "HEY!" Oh shit.. I think Pomni woke up. "Hey Pompom.." I said. Why did I call her that? "POMPOM? GIVE ME MY DIARY!! JAX DON'T GO THROUGH MY STUFF!" Pomni said. "You caught me. But I can help you. I hear you want to start pranking with me?" I reply. She walks over and looks down to see what I was looking at. "Fine yeah i do. But I'm not gonna be doing it all the time with you because I've successfully made friends with everyone but now they're mad at me and I don't want them to stay mad at me forever!" Pomni said. Oh yeah, they did start to get mad at her. "Well how about if you help me prank Ragatha, then I'll help you gain your friends back, even though they probably aren't that mad at you.." I said. She looked at me dead in the eye and slowly nodded her head. I know damn well that if I mess this up, Pomni might beat me up. "Alright! So how do you want to prank her?" I said, trying to sound cheerful. "Oh I have a list of things we can do! Here's some of the things: •Pour paint on her head •Act like someone got abstracted •Ignore her •Be mean to her •Disappear •Me and you argue and see how she acts •Me and you fight and see how she acts •Act like we found an exit •Pretend me and you are dating and see how she acts" Pomni replied. "Dang that's a lot of stuff, have you been planning or something?" I said. She nodded and smiled and me. "Which one do you want to do?"
