"Think you've got everything ?"
"Yup." You sigh. This is it. Today you drive to the clinic, with your brother.
You check your bag for like the hundreth time and your mind just has an idea.
"I need something warm......." You try to make Piers giving you a hoodie or something from him.
He walks to your closet, but sighs.
He quickly walks back to his, reaches in and pulls out a black hoodie.
Standing behind you, he wraps his arms around you, handing you his hoodie.
"There we go." The sniper whispers when you take to hoodie from his hands. His grip doesn't loosen, and you lean back into him a bit. His hands glide from your waist, to your hips and he nuzzles your nape.
"Be careful.."
You chuckle in response and turn around, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"Of course..."
"And don't forget you've got a boyfriend..." The lieutenant pouts.
You groan and lean up to seal his lips with yours. You pull him closer with your arms, while he presses you against his muscled body with his hands on your behind. You break away from him.
"It would take WAY more to forget you." You whisper, your fingers lightly stroking the back of his head. The short hair there is too fluffy for Piers' good, because you know he usually doesn't like his hair being touched, once it is set. You feel it is longer than it is supposed to be, and Piers has to chop it off soon.
The sniper pulls you into a strong hug. You don't hesitate one second to return it. His arms crossed over your back and his face buried in your neck, he sniffes at the source of the most calming scent he has ever come to smell.
"I'll miss you." Piers mumbles, his face not leaving your skin.
"I'll miss you more..." You smile and turn your head a bit to sniff the dark hair. Piers smells like....well...like Piers. And a bit of gunpowder. And his awesome cologne. You love his unique smell.
"I'll miss you most..." Piers says, finally pulling away.
"Don't even start with that.." You scold him, smiling.
He chuckles.
Pulling away fully now, he grabs your hand, laces his fingers with yours, carrying your bag.
During your stay at the BSAA, you also made your driver's license. Something you never would've dreamed of. But having the 'Best driver the BSAA's got', to quote him, had its advantages."There you are." Your brother sighs, already opening the jeep door for you.
Piers throws your bag in it and you turn to him.
"Well then...."
"Yeah..." He sighs.
In a flash you kiss again.
This time way more passionate than before. Your hands caressing his neck, his hands roaming your back and hips. He licks your bottom lip, asking for entrance. Like you would deny. Your tongues intertwine, battling for dominance, but soon enough the fight dies. Because no one of you wants dominance, just wanting to let the other feel their love.
After a few finals pecks, you are able to pull away.
"I want to have you back in my arms soon." The sniper mumbles, his lips hovering over yours.
"And want to be back in your arms soon." You whisper. You lean up and kiss his the bridge of his nose.
Piers doesn't like his nose, but you like it and you show him.
You slowly step away from each other, and you sit into the driver's seat of the jeep.
Your feet are still outside and your body turned towards the outside when you hear Piers calling your name.
He stands in front of you, unwrapping his shemagh and wrapping it around your neck.
"Take it." He smiles and takes your face in his hands, kissing you one last time.
Breaking away he says"I love you."
"I love you, too."
And with the really last peck, you close the door and buckle yourself up. You look back at the loading ramp, to see Cherokee chillin' in the sun.
Your brother sits next to you, buckles himself up and you start the engine.
You pull in the first gear and look back at Piers, standing next to Chris. You smile at him and you look back to the street. Slowly, you step back from the coupling, synchronized stepping onto the accelerator.
Then coupling, step off the gas, second gear, slowly off the coupling, on the gas.
The mantra Piers taught you. And it works every time. You smile at the memory of your lessons and all the times you killed the engine. Boy..."Where do I have to drive to ?" You ask your brother. Driver's license very well, but you still should know where you should head.
"Just drive to the freeway. Then we have to drive for 3 hours." He grins.
"Ugggh..." You groan. You love driving, but freeways are your nemesis.Once you managed to drive through the baracks of the city, you are on the freeway. You order your brother to play your favourite CD.
And just to annoy him, it is Punk Rock.
For over an hour there is just Rock and all this, but then, there is the song that had to come. Of course.I'm a ghost in your eyes.
A shadow you can't seem to recognize.
I have a thought of you for every, star in the sky
But I'm scared, I'll never cross your mind.
Yeah, I'm scared. Will our stars ever align?
Will two hearts, beat in time?
These words you should always remember,
To you, my heart I surrender.
Chasing love that can never be mine.
Maybe one day you'll realize.
These words you should always remember,
To you, my heart I surrender. You sigh. Your father always sung it to you, even though it is pretty new.
"For once I like this band." He once told you.A warm hand lands on your thigh. You glance at your brother and smile.
"We will end this. Once and for all."
