Script 5: Yellow Star

As soon as auditions ended, Yunjin immediately stood up, jumped over the seats and rushed out of the auditorium.

She knew herself that she had no business being there.

Plus, Kim Chaewon is literally there. Backstage. She must have seen Yunjin by now. But Yunjin is internally hoping that maybe by some miracle, Chaewon has yet to find out that she was there.

Yunjin may act like a little shit on purpose sometimes but she knew she had no business getting on Chaewon's nerves about being around the theater club.

She was simply avoiding any more conflict with the older girl. Especially when the said club was the reason behind why Yunjin and Chaewon don't get along well.

Or just simply the reason why Chaewon hated Yunjin with every bit of her being.

Yunjin heard her friends laughing behind her as she rushed towards the door. They may or may have not spotted Chaewon as well.

Nonetheless, Yunjin wasn't staying behind to find out.

As soon as she exited though, she came face to face with her cousin, Eunchae. The sight of her almost gave Yunjin a heart attack. Upon seeing Chaewon earlier, her mind had immediately become too hyper aware about her surroundings.

She would automatically think that a person is Chaewon if she didn't get a closer and clearer look at them.

And that's exactly what happened when she saw Eunchae.

"Yunjin unnie!" Eunchae exclaimed, surprised to see her older cousin coming out of the auditorium.

Her eyes sparkled upon realizing that Yunjin had come out of the auditorium where auditions were held. She immediately thought that Yunjin had auditioned.

"Hey- Hi! How are you?!" The girl had said a bit too loudly. It was obvious that she was nervous, even her expression was off.

Eunchae had stared at her weirdly, "I'm .. well." she blinked before laughing, "Unnie, did you audition?!"

The younger girl looked happy. Her smile was wide and she looked at her cousin with expectant eyes.

Yunjin's eyes widened at her, "What?? No way! I mean- we were just- they-"

Yunjin frantically tried to point at her friends who were walking as slow as ever towards her. "They dragged me here to watch the auditions! I didn't audition, no!"

By that time, Kazuha and the others have already catched up to her. They heard her trying her best not to panic when she's only being asked if she auditioned.

They were snickering at Yunjin's actions and Yunjin could only groan.

"Oh.." Eunchae sounded disappointed. Her smile slowly faded but she tried her best to not make it obvious.

"I thought you did. But no worries! I know why you didn't want to, anyway." Eunchae said, laughing it off as she shrugged.

"But she could audition, any time!"

They all suddenly turned to look at the person who spoke except Yunjin who suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder.

She looked up slightly just to see who it was and it was none other than Park Sunghoon. He had a grin on his face, looking proud and confident.

"You hear that, Yun?? You can audition any time!" Yujin playfully slapped Yunjin's arm as she spoke, they all chuckled as Yunjin grumbled.

"You know damn well why I physically can't audition, right?" Yunjin said with a glare directed towards the boy.
