Ever since Chaewon and Yunjin's little "moment" during rehearsals, Yunjin had grown more and more observant of the older girl.
Yunjin felt like Chaewon was more fragile than any of the members. Considering that she was one of the people who had been with the theater club longer than the new and younger members.
But strength isn't really based on who was there the longest and who was the oldest.
Or maybe Yunjin is just simply biased and is more observant of Chaewon. Maybe she simply thinks everyone is strong enough and can handle themselves alone, while Chaewon needs someone.
She always needs someone.
It was just based on what Yunjin sees.
She always sees Chaewon with Minju. She is always, always with Minju. And the younger girl is always there for her.
It's not like Yunjin thinks that it's a bad thing. She honestly thinks it is sweet of Minju to always be there for the older girl. It was just that ... Yunjin wished Chaewon needed her, too.
It's like how she needed someone when she tripped on a wire and almost fell out of the scene that last time. If Yunjin wasn't there, she would have fallen.
She would have ruined the rehearsal, and the president would have scolded her more than the others.
Yunjin may have heard her call out Minju's name then, but when she saw the look on Chaewon's face- she knew she didn't need anyone in particular.
And, God, did Yunjin want Chaewon to be looking for her? To be needing her help.
That was when the strongest urge to become someone that Chaewon needed appeared.
Yunjin would always be there. Around Chaewon. And Chaewon would have probably noticed her lurking around her more often.
She greets her every time she enters the club or the auditorium. As soon as she comes in and sees Chaewon, she greets her immediately.
She was always there if she needed anything.
Chaewon picks up on Yunjin's behavior immediately but refuses to say anything. She honestly thinks it was just Yunjin being Yunjin.
The younger girl has always been like that. Always approaching everyone. Always trying to help.
Chaewon shrugs Yunjin's behavior off. This was never new to her, anyway. She had to deal with it by ignoring Yunjin.
It was a normal rehearsal day for the theater club, and Yunjin was with the others backstage while Chaewon was onstage, rehearsing alone as the president watched her carefully.
The president has been focusing more on Chaewon for the past few weeks.
Chaewon has been more tired, more stressed, and more sleep-deprived than the last time. Yunjin has perfectly figured her out.
But at the moment, she couldn't do anything. The president has already been calling her out. Since she had been lurking around Chaewon more often, it started to irritate the president.
The younger girl personally doesn't see the problem in that.
Minju has always done that. Minju has always been doing that. She was always standing beside Chaewon, always there around her. So, why was it a problem when it's Yunjin?
Nonetheless, she doesn't complain. She keeps her mouth shut, and she waits with the others backstage.
They could hear Chaewon's voice clearly from the stage.
