"Unnie left this for you."

Chaewon suddenly heard Eunchae's voice from behind her. She quickly turned around and immediately saw their egg baby gently perched on Eunchae's palm.

She hadn't even noticed the younger girl come up to her. She was so busy with her own thoughts that she momentarily forgot where she was.

She had actually been sitting in the cottage, staring at the water for God knows how long.

"Oh," she awkwardly chuckled, "She left that for me?"

"Yeah," Eunchae had a small smile on her lips. She looked timid and slightly awkward while gently holding the egg.

"I honestly thought she took it with her-" Chaewon laughs airily. In fact, she forgot about the whole project.

The younger girl only stood there, and Chaewon took this as a sign to take the egg from her. She took it with both hands and held it as if scared that she might suddenly break it.

"Unnie doesn't always take the egg with her. Every time she has basketball practice, she leaves it with me."

Chaewon slowly nodded. Well, now she knows where the egg goes. How stupid can she be that she thought Yunjin would carelessly take the egg everywhere?

Huh Yunjin wasn't that stupid. She couldn't be.

Chaewon doesn't let this small information get to her. Her mind had been filled with Huh Yunjin ever since she woke up.

This damn egg will not be the thing that would cause her to break and start ranting about Huh Yunjin again.

Not in front of the said girl's cousin, no.

She clenches her hand around the poor egg, but she stops squeezing it when she remembers that the egg in her palm right now is the reason she'll be able to stop taking extra classes if she gets to keep the egg without it cracking.

"I honestly thought that-" Chaewon chuckles before shrugging, "I honestly thought that Yunjin would take the egg anywhere."

Eunchae's smile grew slightly wider because of the way Chaewon acted.

It was obvious that Eunchae was very cautious and careful around the older girl. Seeing her act so gentle and even chuckle while talking about Yunjin had put Eunchae at ease.

Even just for a bit.

Chaewon clears her throat, already having thought of something else to ask the younger girl. "So, how are you enjoying the preparations for the performance so far?" she asks, just to get her mind off of the younger girl's cousin.

The corners of the younger girl's lips slightly twitch.

"Oh, well. I'm having fun." She says, sounding a bit hesitant. Chaewon doesn't question it, but she is truly curious. "I'm enjoying it, especially now that I'm working alongside my cousin for the first time."

The older girl smiles at Eunchae's words. This made Chaewon think about what type of cousin Yunjin is with Eunchae. How does she act around her? Does she act like Eunchae's guardian?

Sure, Chaewon has seen them together numerous times whenever they have rehearsals, but Chaewon would rather choke on her mic than watch Yunjin interact with her cousin for a long time. It's Huh Yunjin, after all.

But since Eunchae is such a nice kid and talks about Yunjin like she's the nicest person on earth, maybe Yunjin is a good role model for Eunchae.

Chaewon realizes that she's thinking about Huh Yunjin again and closes her eyes before taking a deep breath through her nose. That's enough of Huh Yunjin for the day.
