The morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow on Jungkook's face. He stirred; his mind still filled with the events of the previous day. As he sat up in bed, he couldn't help but think about Taehyung. Their conversation had been a turning point, a moment of clarity amidst the chaos.

He was replaying the events of the previous day, the words he had exchanged with Taehyung. He was thinking about their future, about the immense responsibility that lay ahead. He was also grappling with his feelings for Taehyung, feelings that were becoming more profound and complex with each passing day.

He was thinking about his apology, hoping that it had been enough to mend the rift between them. He was also thinking about Taehyung's reaction, the mix of emotions in his eyes, and his acceptance of the apology.

Downstairs his parents were waiting. It was almost like he was dreading even being in the presence of them. When he walked down to the kitchen, he felt the tension surround him.

"So is Taehyung doing, okay?" the lady asked and Jungkook sighed, "Yea, he is just sassy right now,"

"Pregnancy hormones are crazy, better watch out,"

Jungkook laughed softly and grabbed milk from the fridge, the woman took a slight sip of her coffee and sighed, "Are you ready to be a parent?" His mother's question was sharp, her tone laced with disapproval.

Jungkook paused, his hand still on the fridge door. He turned to face his parents; his expression serious. He knew this was coming, only his parents would manage to ruin a morning within the first ten minutes of it.

"I don't know if anyone is ever truly ready to be a parent," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "But what I do know is that I'm willing to do whatever it takes. For Taehyung, and for our baby."

His father scoffed, "Jungkook, being a parent is a big responsibility. It's not just about providing for the child, but also about being there for them emotionally. Do you really think you can handle that?"

Jungkook nodded, his determination evident in his eyes. "I can, and I will. I know it won't be easy, but I also know that I won't be alone. I have Taehyung, and I have my friends,"

"Jungkook, you're still so young. There's so much you haven't experienced yet," his mother continued, her voice heavy with worry. "This is a lifetime commitment. Are you sure you're ready for that?"

"I understand your concerns," Jungkook replied, trying to keep his voice steady. "But this isn't just about me anymore. It's about Taehyung and our baby too. I can't just walk away from them."

His father sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Jungkook, no one is asking you to walk away. But you need to understand the gravity of the situation. A baby isn't just a responsibility, it's a whole new life. And it's not just about being there for the good times, but also for the tough ones."

"I know that, Dad," Jungkook responded, his voice firm. "And I'm ready to face whatever comes our way. I won't let Taehyung and our baby down."

His parents exchanged a look, their expressions unreadable. "We can only hope you mean what you say, Jungkook," his father finally said. "Because once this baby comes, there's no turning back."

With that, the conversation came to an end, leaving behind a heavy silence. The road ahead was uncertain, and only time would tell if Jungkook was truly ready for the challenges that lay ahead. But for now, all he could do was hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

With the heavy atmosphere at the Jeon's, Taehyung woke up to the opposite. His mom was downstairs cooking breakfast and his dad watching the news while sitting on the couch.

"Goodmorning," Taehyung's voice was happier than normal, probably because he got a good night's sleep for once.

"Good morning, Tae," his mother greeted him with a warm smile, the aroma of breakfast filling the room. "You seem to be in a good mood today."

Taehyung returned her smile, taking a seat at the table. "I slept well," he admitted, his eyes meeting his father's, who was engrossed in the morning news.

His father looked up from the newspaper, his gaze thoughtful. "That's good to hear, son. How are you feeling otherwise? You know, with the baby and all?"

Taehyung paused, considering his father's question. "It's... overwhelming," he confessed. "But I'm not alone. Jungkook is with me in this."

His mother reached across the table, placing her hand over his. "We know it's a lot to take in, Tae. But remember, we're here for you too."

His father nodded in agreement, "And it's okay to feel scared or uncertain. What's important is that you're taking responsibility and trying your best. That's all anyone can ask for."

Taehyung felt a sense of relief wash over him. Despite the challenges that lay ahead, he knew he had the support of his parents. And that gave him the strength to face whatever was to come. "Thank you, mom, dad. I appreciate your support."

With that, they continued their breakfast, the atmosphere light and comforting. It was a stark contrast to the tension at Jungkook's house, a reminder of the different battles they were both fighting. But they were in this together, ready to face the future as a team. And that thought brought a sense of peace to Taehyung's heart.
