As days passed, Jungkook helped Taehyung plan out everything for the baby shower that was coming up in a week, "Tae, I am not good at this stuff," The boy groaned after throwing his head back.

Taehyung's laughter filled the room, a light and airy sound that eased the tension in Jungkook's shoulders. "Don't worry, Kook," Taehyung reassured him, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "You're doing great."

"But I don't even know what a diaper cake is," Jungkook protested, looking at the list of baby shower games Taehyung had compiled.

"That's okay," Taehyung said, patting Jungkook's arm comfortingly. "That's why we're doing this together."

Over the next few days, Jungkook found himself immersed in a world he never knew existed. From choosing the perfect shade of baby blue for the decorations to learning how to fold tiny clothes into a diaper cake, every task was a new adventure.

He was so immersed that he totally forgot about how basketball try outs were now only two days away. He found comfort in planning for the new life they are welcoming in seven months.

"Tae, I have to go and practice soon,"

"Oh, well we are almost done,"

Taehyung respected the latter for being able to balance him and basketball. It was a trait that Taehyung knew was trustworthy, "I will just invite Jimin and Jin over to help finalize everything,"

It was a perfect time for Jungkook to go out and practice his skills a few times more before putting them to use. Jungkook stood up and stretched his aching muscles. Taehyung couldn't help but admire his golden skin and flexing biceps.

Maybe that was what got him into this position. Of course, Taehyung would never let Jungkook know he still thinks about that night at the party. The way his hands had once caressed him and his lips had once been connected with Taehyung's.

"I hope everything goes to plan; also do you want to go out for dinner tomorrow. I have been craving pizza,"

"Are you pregnant, or am I?" Taehyung teased and Jungkook chuckled, "I guess we will never know," Jungkook grabbed his keys and exited out of the room with one last wave.

It was a typical Saturday afternoon for Jungkook. He was back on the court, but this time at the school. It was bigger and the hoop was a little higher than his own. Jungkook began practicing his shots. Ever since he began practicing more he found himself missing little to no shots.

The rhythmic bounce of the ball against the ground was music to his ears. The best music he could ever hear.

Thats when he spotted a person behind the hoop, it was a girl. A girl around his age watching every move. Her eyes followed the trajectory of the ball. There was something about her. Maybe it was her quiet confidence or the way she seemed genuinely interested in the game.

"Hi?" Jungkook picked the ball up and moved closer to the brunette-haired girl, "Do you play?" He questioned, sweat trickling down his face.

That was when she smiled, it was a small, shy smile, "A little bit," She began with a shrug, "I used to play in middle school, then I hurt my ankle bad," she added quickly and Jungkook hummed.

They began getting lost in conversation. Talking about their shared love for the sport and then about other things.

Their conversation flowed with ease. The night soon began to darken.

"Well, I better get going, it was nice meeting you..." Jungkook trailed off with confusion, "Lee Ara," The girl held her hand out and Jungkook connected their hands, "I am Jeon Jungkook,"

"Well then I will see you around Jungkook," Ara smiled softly and walked away, Jungkook was intrigued by who she was and why she was at the playground.

Back at Taheyung's house, Taehyung was busy finalizing the baby shower plans with Jimin and Jin. They laughed and chatted, their excitement filling the room.

"Okay, so we've got the decorations sorted," Taehyung said, looking at the array of pastel-colored items spread out on the table.

Jimin nodded, picking up a small, baby-themed centerpiece. "These are really cute, Tae. Where did you find them?"

"I found an online store that specializes in baby shower decorations," Taehyung replied, a proud smile on his face.

Jin, who was looking at the guest list, chimed in. "We should probably start sending out the invitations soon. We want to give people enough time to RSVP."

"You're right, Jin," Taehyung agreed. "I'll start writing them out tonight."

As they continued to plan, their excitement for the upcoming event was palpable. Despite the hard work, they were all looking forward to celebrating this joyous occasion.

Taehyung grabbed his phone after it buzzed.

[Message from Jungkook]

[8:19] I met a girl on the court today

Taehyung's face dropped. His happiness faded away as he stared at the message that displayed across the screen.

"What is going on?" Jimin asked with confusion and Taehyung set his phone down, "Jungkook met a girl on the basketball court," Taehyung softly spoke out, his heart burned, and a sudden urge of nausea overcame him.

Jimin and Jin exchanged glances, sensing the change in Taehyung's demeanor. "Are you okay, Tae?" Jin asked, concern evident in his voice.

Taehyung forced a smile, trying to brush off the uneasy feeling. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just... unexpected."

The room fell silent, the earlier excitement replaced by a palpable tension. Jimin broke the silence, "Well, it's good for Jungkook, right? Meeting new people."

Taehyung nodded, "Yes, of course. I'm happy for him." But his words lacked the usual cheerfulness.

The rest of the night passed in a blur. Despite the successful planning, Taehyung couldn't shake off the strange feeling. He found himself constantly checking his phone, half-expecting a message from Jungkook.

That night, as he lay in bed, Taehyung couldn't help but replay the day's events. He realized that his reaction to Jungkook's message was more about his own feelings than Jungkook's actions. He had been harboring feelings for Jungkook, feelings he hadn't fully acknowledged until now.
