I'd been working with my vocal coach long before we started shooting the film. Theatre was something I studied in high school and college so singing was always something I knew how to do. Her voice is so mesmerizing, it's easy to get lost in her tune when she sings. Her passion for singing is just an amazing experience to witness. It's like she goes into another place and you just have to go on the journey with her. Her voice is powerful no wonder she protects it with her soft raspy voice. I could tell by the way everyone's eyes got buck and their mouths drops that they were all shocked that I could sing.
