"Hey," The voice said and we both turned around. It was Marlon, standing in the doorway. "Have you seen Rosie?" he asked, looking around at each face—mainly Louis. Louis turned away from the piano and looked at Marlon. "Nope." He said, and Marlon's brow furrowed, "Shit."

"We've got a bit of a situation out there." He said and cleared his throat a bit, before looking at Clementine and I. "Um, I'd hate to ask—you guys just coming in and all, but we could really use a hand. You two up for taking out a few deadheads?" He asked and I looked over at Clementine. "I don't mind," I said and looked back at Marlon. Clementine just gave him a nod and with that, Marlon went to walk away before giving Louis a glare. "You too, Louis. Get your ass in gear." He said sternly and then ran down the hall. Louis then got up with a sigh, "Fine.." he grumbled in annoyance. With that, he led the way out of the room while Clementine, AJ, and I followed him out.

When we got outside, I went over to the picnic table where I left my bag, guitar, and hatchet. I stared down at the metal weapon, examining the dried blood on it from the walker I killed earlier...I sighed to myself and picked it up and walked over to Marlon with the others. "Rosie?! Where the hell is she..?" He called out before he turned to us four who stood with him. "You give her her weapon back?" Marlon asked Louis, and Clementine proceeded to pull out her knife. "Good. We're gonna need you to put it to use." He said and stared through the iron gate we stood beside. "We've got a hunting party out there trying to get back inside. Need our help to clear the way." He explained to us, "Seems to be a few more than usual these days," he added, and that was when Violet turned and looked in our direction. "It's almost like something drew their attention.." She said, glaring from over her shoulder at Clementine.

"Something like...I don't know...an explosion, or a car crash." She huffed and looked away.

"Vi..." Marlon said and sighed.

"What? Just saying," Violet said with her arms crossed, "There has to be some explanation,"

And that was when Clementine spoke up, "I don't think we've met, I'm Clementine," She said in an attempt to introduce herself to Violet. "Yeah, I know. Your kid won't stop talking about you."

"Hello, Clementine. I'm Violet. Nice to meet you." Louis spoke up, trying to lighten the mood, "Yeah. What he said." Violet grumbled.

"I'm sure she'll warm up, eventually," I said to Clem and put a hand on her shoulder. Mentally—I was freaking out because I just touched her. Clem gave a nod and I quickly pulled my hand back, staring down at it for a second...the idea of this being a dream was starting to grow much more distant. Perhaps it was my new reality, and I wasn't sure how to adjust...I knew the storyline—how things would go. I thought, what would happen if I stopped AJ from shooting Marlon? What if I stopped James from getting stabbed if Clementine tells AJ not to shoot Lilly? What if I could save whoever Clementine didn't when the raiders come? So many questions that went through my head in a split second, before I was ripped away from them and possible answers when Willy called down to us from the post, "Alright, boys and girls! They're starting to fill in!"

"Come on," Violet muttered and opened the gate, Marlon stared at Clem and I before he drew an arrow from his quiver and ran after Violet.

"To go along with what Y/N said, don't mind Violet. She uh...grows on you. I promise." He said and swung up a broken chair leg with a bunch of nails poking out of it that propped on his shoulder. Clementine stared at it and I couldn't help but chuckle. It was Chairles. "Oh, this? It's a chair leg, I call it 'Chairles," He said with a snicker, he then walked away. Clementine and I met each other's gaze. She shook her head and I couldn't help but blush. "That's funny. I wonder if he names every weapon he gets. I once knew a guy who named his handgun Matilda. He was an ex-cop, and it was his first day on the job when everything went to shit." You said to her with a small smile as you both went to leave, and yes. You just made a reference to Resident Evil, another zombie horror franchise you liked. Specifically a reference to Leon S. Kennedy, the main character in a bunch of media from the series, but most notable for his first appearance in Resident Evil 2. Anyway, this is about The Walking Dead, not Resident Evil. You both made it outside the gate, and just as it shut, AJ was watching us, "Clem? Lemme help!" He begged and I paused to wait for Clementine as she turned to face AJ. "I need you to watch our backs. Call out from inside if you see anything, cool?" She told him, crouching to be at his level. The boy looked down in disappointment, shaking his head with a reluctant "Okay.."
