Hi friends... Hope you liked the previous part. Do let me know through the comments. In last part we saw Sivaangi's pov. Today we'll see what Ashwin is thinking

Ashwin's pov

Today is my marriage. Usually all will be happy on the day of their marriage but here I'm not. Coz it's not a marriage out of love but a marriage out of compulsion. There was a time when I too wanted to get married and lead a great life. But now I don't want a marriage or a family life. But my poor parents. They don't understand my point of view. My mom thinks that marriage is the solution to all problems. Get married, have a family and you'll be happy in life.
No use in blaming her. It's the age old thought that is imbibed into her. My dad too wants me to get married but he tries to understand my point of view. My parents are my everything. They've done lot of sacrifices for me. I can atleast do this for them.

I met my prospective bride once. Her name is Teju. She seems to be a good girl. I didn't find her to be interested in this marriage. We didn't interact much. Don't know if it's a marriage of compulsion for her as well. But whatever it is now this is going to be our life. I guess we were destined to be together...

My gang is here with me. They are the only people who know the real me. Who knows what is running in my mind. Who knows my past and reason for saying no to marriage. Pugazh, Rakshan and Sharath. They were with me in college. Rakshan is my friend from school itself.

Talking about them they each are a peculiar character. Pugazh is a harmless flirt. He flirts with almost all the girls he meet. Sharath too used to flirt but now settled with Krithika, his love from school. Rakshan is also settled now with Saranya our junior girl from college. Sharath and pugazh works in a multinational company. Rakshan is also a lecturer like me in ABC college. All of us are settled in Chennai.

Talking of myself I'm a lecturer in XYZ college. I've been teaching there for about 1 year now. It's a nice college with somewhat good ambience. I chose to be a lecturer since I like teaching. I've always wanted to be a teacher. That's actually one reason for my sorrows in past. But I want to follow my dreams. My motto in life is that whatever happens we should never give up our dreams. Follow dreams and you'll be a happy person in life.

Wonder if Teju has any dreams about her future. Any expectations from our marriage. After marriage I'll try to fullfill all her dreams but I don't know if I will be able to meet her expectations of a happy married life. I don't think she'll be having a happy married life with me. I myself is not sure about this marriage and doing it out of compulsion. Will I be able to provide her with all happiness? Let's see what life has to offer for us.

I got ready in the outfit that my mother bought for me. I set my hair and apply a thin stroke of vibhuti.

I looked somewhat fine

I looked somewhat fine. My friends were telling that I looked very handsome but I don't think so.

Rakshan: Machan semmaya irukke. Nan oru ponna iruntha unna ippove kalyanam panniruppe.
(Buddy... you are looking very handsome. If I was a girl I would have married you this moment itself)
