Into the story

The next morning Sivaangi woke up at around 6 am since that's her usual time of waking up. If not her mother used to scold her. She woke up and saw that Ashwin was still sleeping. She slowly got up without disturbing him, took her essentials and went to washroom to get ready... Sometime later she came out after bathing and getting ready in a sari. Even though she is a small girl she is quite good in wearing sarees as her mother had forced her to learn it from childhood. After coming out she stood in front of mirror and combed her hair and got ready. She took a pinch of sindhoor and put in her partition as her mother had strictly told that she should wear sindhoor always after marriage and try to wear saree always. Her mother thinks that all this adds beauty to married women.

After she got ready she turned to see that Ashwin was slowly waking up due to disturbance by the sun. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at Sivaangi to see her all ready in morning itself. He smiled at her and woke up completely from sleep. He got up from the couch, took his belongings and went to freshen up.

Sivaangi left downstairs and slowly went to the kitchen. She saw that her mother in law is standing there and looking for something.

Sivaangi: good morning atha...
(Good morning aunty)

Am: good morning ma... Nee yen ivlo kaalaiylaye enthiriche... Innum konjam neram thoongirukkalamla.
(Good morning dear... why did you get up so early. You could have slept for some more time...)

Sivaangi: ayyo atha nan yerkanave late. Naan neth alarm vakkala... Illati ithukku munne enthirichuppe. Nan eppovume kaalaile early aave enthirichiduve. Illati avlo thaan Amma...
(Aunty I'm already late.. I forgot to say alarm yesterday... otherwise I would have woken up before. I always wake up early in morning. Otherwise my mother will kill me)

(It's good to wake up early. But yesterday was quite hectic. That's why I asked. And you wake up as you like. We won't ask you to get up early.... Okay...
Stay free.... this is your home only)

Sivaangi felt very happy... It was the first time that someone was addressing her choice.

Sivaangi: sari atha... Ana enakk kaalailaye enthirikkirath pazhagi poch. Athinaale paravale...
(Ok aunty... but I am used to walking up early. So it's fine)

Am: nee yen ma Sari kattiyirukke. Comfortable aa irukka.
(Why are you wearing a saree. Is it comfortable?)

Sivaangi: comfortable thaan atha.. Amma neth sonnanga innaikku sari thaan kattanum nn..
(It's comfortable aunty. My mother told yesterday to wear a saree today)

Am: appidi ethuvum illa ma.. unakk eth comfortable o atheyo pottuko.. unakk ith change pannanum na pannikko ma..
(There's nothing like that. You wear whatever is comfortable for you. If you want to change you can change)

Sivaangi: paravalla atha... Ith comfortable thaan... atha Inga ellarum kaalaila enna eduthuppanga... Coffee aa tea aa..
(No problem aunty. This is comfortable. Aunty.. what does all drink in morning. Coffee or tea?)

Am: Inga morning enthiricha udane coffee thaan... Appurom tea theva na breakfast time le eduthuppanga.
(Here all take coffee after getting up. If needed they will take tea along with breakfast)

Sivaangi: ok.. appo nan coffee podren atha.. ellam enga irukk nn konjam kamikkirya atha..
(Ok then I'll put coffee. Aunty, can you please show me where the ingredients are kept)

(I'll make dear. I'll take a bath and come. I came to take the hair oil.)
