Upon returning home that evening, the kitchen patio door was opened and I could hear the lively sounds of poker night from the pool house where the games were taking place. Being the thoughtful wife that I am, I approached Jermaine and his friends to ask if they needed anything. Little did I know that my simple inquiry would result in a flood of requests.
They asked if I could prepare some of my famous barbecue and spicy chicken wings, among other dishes. Due to the time required for marination, I had to decline their request for chicken wings. However, I quickly sprang into action and prepared other dishes that didn't require lengthy preparation.
As I brought the food to Jermaine and his friends, I happened to overhear a snippet of their conversation regarding his upcoming trip to Amsterdam. Jermaine mentioned the possibility of smoking "Might try a blunt there" was his very statement. Although taken aback, I chose to maintain composure and decided to address the matter privately with him later, as I didn't want to create a scene in front of his friends.
At the end of the day, I firmly believe in honoring Godly commandments and staying true to the commitments we have made. It's important for me to address it respectfully and communicate openly, ensuring that our actions align with our beliefs and making conscientious choices and upholding our values and principles.
