Elena felt the cold, hard ground beneath her. The familiar sounds of water dripping and the wind blowing didn't surprise her anymore. She shut her eyes tighter in the hopes of waking up, but it was no use. She opened them to the dark cave again, waiting for him to step out. This dream felt like the one before, too real.
"I know you're there, show yourself."
"I was awaiting a warmer welcome," Grindelwald stepped out of the shadows, and spoke rather merrily, "Since you went to my rally and all."
How did he know that? "Why am I here again?"
"I have a task for you," he came closer and reached for her necklace, "I suppose I don't have to explain to you what the Deathly Hallows are."
Elena froze in place, taking shallow breaths, "I know what they are."
He let go of her necklace and reached into his jacket, taking out his wand, the same one Elena had seen back in the summer of 1934. "You see this wand? It is the Elder Wand."
"It's real?"
"Of course, all of them are," he laughed at the girl's surprise, "I need the rest of them. The Resurrection Stone and the Invisibility Cloak. That is the only way I will stand against Albus."
"Dumbledore?"
"He trusts you Elena, you should learn to use that trust," he walked around her, making Elena more nervous by the second, "I trust you too, but don't you dare try to use that."
"Why me? I'm a schoolgirl, I don't have access to whatever you're searching for."
"You're closer to the them than you know," Grindelwald put a hand on her shoulder from the behind, "Now... Show me I bet on the right horse all those years ago. Get me the Hallows."
Elena gathered her courage, this was still her dream after all. "If I refuse?"
"I know you understand my mission Elena. I want you to choose to be on my side. You can refuse to help me, no harm will come to you. However, I cannot say the same about the people you care about."
Elena held her breath, if any harm came to Rin, or Orion, or even Abraxas she didn't know what she would do. "Where do I start? I read the tale, but that is all I know."
"Good girl. The Peverell Brothers is where you start. There are records of magical families in the Hogwarts archives." He retreated back into the shadows, "Good luck."
For the first time such a dream didn't result in Elena waking up breathless or beaten. She felt normal, better that she had actually slept through the night. She looked at the clock, it was almost time for breakfast but all the other girls were still asleep. She played the dream in her mind over and over again as she got ready and made it to the Great Hall. She wanted to talk to Rin about everything, she didn't want to have to lie.
Elena waited for about an hour before Rin showed up, she ran to him before he even sat down at his table. "I need to tell you something."
"Is something wrong?" He yawned, it looked like he was still sleepy.
"I saw him in my dream."
"Who?"
Elena sat down and pulled him next to her, whispering, "Grindelwald, but I suspect it wasn't a dream. I think he was there to give me a task."
