Fighting off very unholy thoughts, Yeonjun somehow made it through the bus ride. Once the bus stopped, Soobin promptly woke up and glared at Yeonjun as if he was the one who slept on another persons shoulder.

But Yeonjun kept his calm. After all, his goal was to make Soobin fall in love with him. If the goal was to make Soobin hate him, Yeonjun would've succeeded eons ago.

After Soobin and Yeonjun got down at the stop, Yeonjun noticed Soobin simply standing and looking like a lost puppy. What happened to the side kick that was always around Soobin?

"Did you fight with that guy? What's his name again? Daeji?"

Soobin turned and glared at Yeonjun. "It's Daehwi and no we didn't fight"

Yes, we fought. BECAUSE OF YOU!

But Soobin would never say that out loud. That was like admitting Yeonjun had a part in Soobin's life.

"Ehhh, that's weird. You both are always glued to the hip but how come on a trip y'all are so distanced from each other? Surely, not a fight, right?"

"Mind your own business, what is it to you?"

Yeonjun shrugged. "I can keep you company if you want."

Soobin rolled his eyes as he spotted Kai in the distance. "And why would I want your company?"

And before Yeonjun could even reply, Soobin walked away towards Kai. Yeonjun clenched his fists in anger. He had to stay calm. It was at moments like this when Yeonjun realized how much he actually wanted to hurt Soobin.

And how much he wanted to succeed.

Now, Soobin was entirely convinced. Because there was no way in hell that this was just a coincidence.

First of all, it was very rare that they would mix departments for the room because that would just make it hard to the management to keep track of respective departments. But despite all of that, somehow they all were in the same room.

They being Soobin, Yeonjun, Kai, Beomgyu and Taehyun. Shouldn't the law department people be with the law department and let the mass media people be with the mass media people? The only person Soobin was comfortable with in this entire room was Kai.

And the fact that he and Yeonjun were yet again in the same place was too big to be a coincidence.

Was it...fate that was bringing them together?

----------------------------------

"Why are WE also in this room?" hissed Kai, sending a sharp glare at Beomgyu.

Beomgyu merely shrugged. "To keep an eye on them, of course. We need some progress in all this. I did not sit and alter this trip just for them to rip each other's throat out. If it was a WWE competition, trust me we would be back in Amoretto already with our next mission in hand."

Kai let out a sigh. He was a bit...conflicted about this. He already had huge reservations about using their powers to tweak stuff in this world cause...it wasn't their world. This wasn't their place and it just didn't feel right to Kai. But then again, Beomgyu was the one with a 100% success rate whereas Kai was just...

He was just Kai.

But Beomgyu hadn't even consulted Kai regarding putting all of them in the same room. Not like it surprised Kai. It took more than a couple of days to get rid of one's massive ego. No matter how many times Beomgyu apologized to Kai, it wouldn't change the fact that Beomgyu would always look down at Kai.

Kai tossed all these useless thoughts aside. He had another huge question lingering in his mind. He looked around at the empty hallway to make sure no one was listening. Luckily, pretty much all the students were in the room, settling in. The ones who were not, were probably outside the staying area to chit chat.

"Why'd you put Taehyun in our room? I thought we agreed to leave Taehyun out of this. Beomgyu, I know you're not going to tell me what's going on in your head but no matter what you say, I cannot fathom why you would put Taehyun in there. If a 5th member was really needed, you should be putting Daehwi in our room. At least in that sense, the both of them can make up as well."

Beomgyu merely kept quiet, not giving Kai an answer.

"Beomgyu? I thought we were in this together. Why are you doing things without telling me? What possible use could Taehyun have to us?"

Beomgyu scoffed. "I'm surprised, I guess my habits are rubbing off on you. Since when did you start evaluating people based on their use, Kai? I thought humans were to be evaluated based on their personality, their kindness, their empathy."

Beomgyu faked gasped. "But now you're evaluating people based on their uses? Wow, now you're learning the ways of a true Amatorian."

Kai frowned. "Stop dodging my question. If you're trying to rile me up and make me forget about what I asked you, sorry to say it's not going to work."

Beomgyu looked away. He himself didn't have an answer as to why he included Taehyun in there. But something about that human...something about him bothered Beomgyu in ways that he's never felt bothered before.

He was curious about Taehyun. Not in regards to their mission. He was simply curious about Taehyun.

And that scared him. Beomgyu was 100% the ideal Amatorian. He completed his missions swiftly with whatever means it took, even if it meant that other people were going to get used in the process. He wasn't someone who cared about humans and their complicated emotions. His sole goal was to complete a mission, get recognized for it and then come back for another one. That was it.

Which is why being curious about Taehyun scared Beomgyu so much. He wasn't even sure if curious was the right word to put to this emotion he was feeling but he really couldn't think of another word. He was even scared to read Taehyun's thoughts at times. He wanted to know what he was thinking but at the same time, reading Taehyun's thoughts felt absolutely immoral to Beomgyu.

In theory, Beomgyu hasn't interacted much with Taehyun except for the tutoring and the the day he declared that he was in love with Yeonjun and needed Taehyun's help. But since Kai told him that he didn't need Taehyun and that Daehwi worked as an amazing substitute, Beomgyu began to distance himself from Taehyun.

But distancing didn't mean he didn't notice Taehyun. And hence the curiosity.

"I'm not obliged to answer your questions, Kai. I'm still your senior and if I want to do things my way, you are no one to stop me. As an Amatorian, I will complete this mission within the deadline and whether I use Taehyun or not, it's up to me."

And Beomgyu left, not bothering to look at Kai as he took a left, disappearing from Kai's sight.

Kai slightly winced and looked up, forcing the tears to go back in. He wouldn't be hurt by Beomgyu again. He had already told himself that.

"Kai?"

Kai's entire body froze. He immediately recognized the voice and it made his blood ran cold. How much did he hear?

Kai turned. "Hey, Taehyun."

"What the hell is going on?"
