Beomgyu sat in front of his notebook, his glasses on. They provided him with easier access to his own memory. Quite a useful Amatorian tool, he thought.

Beomgyu had made up his mind. And this time, he was being 100% serious. He was going to complete this mission, on his own, his style. The same way he had completed all his other missions. Humans could never find love on their own, not without the help of Amatorians.

Beomgyu removed the glasses and rubbed his temples, sighing. If only Kai thought like that. Kai's compassion and sentiments for humans was going to create more greys in this world, and that defeats the whole purpose of being a cupid.

Beomgyu circled both Taehyun and Daehwi's name on his notebook. Daehwi had a sure and direct connection with Soobin and naturally that made him the more viable option to use but Taehyun also had some sort of dynamic with Yeonjun. And Beomgyu found it much easier to be around Taehyun than Daehwi.

At least he used to. That was before Kai wiped out Taehyun's memories of him.

Beomgyu could feel the anger bubbling in him at the mere thought of that. It felt like Kai had wiped out all of his effort in one clean sweep and now he had to start over again.

Beomgyu got up from his chair, as he took once last glance at the notebook.

He placed a cross on Kai's name and slipped the book into his pocket

College students love barbeque. Delicious meal coupled with soda or alcohol was a dream meal for these students who slaved away most of their time in assignments and classes, barely getting the time to eat a proper meal.

Soobin eyed Daehwi from the corner. He should really go talk to him first. Daehwi was simply looking out for him. And Soobin without Daehwi, wasn't the real Soobin.

"Man, do you want me to go call him?"

Soobin instantly rolled his eyes. He turned around and was surprised by how close Yeonjun was standing to him. Yeonjun tilted his head, his hands in pocket, the breeze gently playing with his white t-shirt.

If this was a drama, there'd be some romantic music playing right now. Soobin shook his head, snapping out his daze. He had established this with himself long ago. Hot or not, Yeonjun was no.1 on his no-date list. And he was the only one on the list.

"Do you have no other friends?"  said Soobin.

"I have but I want to spend time with my new friend."

Soobin pointed at Taehyun, who was standing in a corner, phone in hand and beer in the other. "He's over there."

"Oh right, my bad. We're more than friends."

Soobin looked at Yeonjun aghast, "Are you crazy? We're acquaintances. Search it up since it seems like you don't know what it means."

"Man, looks like you've been all fiery since you fought with your bestie."

Soobin glared at Yeonjun again. He wanted to tell him it was all Yeonjun's fault that they fought. But something told Soobin that Yeonjun would take it as an ego boost rather than a problem.

And Soobin was too tired to start arguing with Yeonjun.

"Just talk to him."

"I don't want to end up fighting like those two." mumbled Soobin, under his breath. Yeonjun very well knew that Soobin was referring to Kai and Beomgyu. They both were first-hand witnesses to their intense argument today.

"You and Daehwi are not like them, right? You are not them. You'll figure out your problem differently as compared to others. So, just go do it."

Soobin looked at Yeonjun, surprised. "Wow, I didn't know you were capable of that."

Yeonjun brought his face closer to Soobin. Soobin backed up a bit. "I'm capable of a lot of things."

Soobin pushed Yeonjun away, his ears red.  "Get away from me."

Soobin walked towards where Daehwi direction, rubbing his ears.

No, Yeonjun, you're not capable of love.

Taehyun mindlessly scrolled his phone. He had been like this the entire day. Unable to concentrate on anything.

Something was just not right but Taehyun couldn't exactly pinpoint what it was. It was as if there was some lapse in his memory.

Those two guys in his room, Kai and Beomgyu. He knew them. He was a 100% sure he had seen them somewhere but no matter how much he wracked his memory, he just couldn't understand. It was as if there was some blind spots in his memory.

...Should he go see the doctor?

Taehyun wasn't primarily a nosy person. He kept his business and others business separate. But this feeling of loss was driving Taehyun crazy.

Was it cause that Beomgyu guy showed some interest in him?

Taehyun shook his head. Even if he was attracted to Beomgyu that wouldn't mean he'd be feeling something restless. It was something beyond that. Something more than that.

Taehyun's eyes landed on Kai. The said guy was standing in near the barbeque, grilling some meat and handing it over to others as and when he was done. He was a good-looking guy but nothing about him struck out much to Taehyun.

Beomgyu, on the other hand, was standing in a corner, hands in pockets, observing others. Taehyun found himself observing Beomgyu movements a bit more closely. He couldn't make out Beomgyu's expression from the distance he was standing at which with the way Beomgyu was moving his head, it seemed like he was searching for something.

Or was he observing multiple people at once?

Taehyun shook his head, looked like this guy had a goal to stand out amongst the rest. Quite the opposite of Taehyun. Looks like Kai would be a better option for some answers.

Taehyun moved from his position, heading towards Kai's direction. He turned back to look at Beomgyu and for a split second their eyes met, after which Beomgyu instantly turned away.

Taehyun just couldn't shake off the feeling that something was up.
