The Saturday of that same week in January of the new year, Mrs. Utterson sat in her mansion after the party, concerned for her friend's well-being.

"I am glad Jekyll is well. I am also glad that she and Lanyon have reconciled. But it has been some time since I saw her last. Something could have happened to her. I suppose there is no harm in the wanting to visit. I only wish to check on her."

She stood and soon was leaving her mansion. She wanted to visit Dr. Jekyll at her mansion. She arrived at the mansion and rang the bell, waiting for someone to open the door. She knocked three times. Soon Poole opened the door for her and greeted her with a solemn expression.

"Good Afternoon, Poole," said Utterson, "Is Dr. Jekyll at home?"

"She is, unfortunately..." started Poole. Utterson interrupted. "Is something wrong Poole?" said Utterson. Poole sighed and his expression turned grim.

"Mistress said she does not wish to see anyone at this time. She has shut herself up in her quarters once more. I am very sorry, Mrs. Utterson."

Mrs. Utterson sighed and her expression held an emotion of sadness. She readjusted her coat.

"I understand. Very well." She sighed once more. "Has she strained herself at all? Has there been any issues for her?"

"No Madam," said Poole, "I must go. Mistress needs to be taken care of. She is plagued once more."

"I see," said Utterson. "Good afternoon, Poole."

Utterson left and soon was back at her mansion, watching the fire in the hearth.

"I went to see Jekyll once more, but Poole told me once more that Jekyll refused to her quarters." She stood and began to pace around the room. "I have met with Jekyll quite often over these past two months, with no interruptions or strange occurrences. This leads me to worry about the detail that she has confined herself to her quarters. I shall keep trying every so often to see her."

The next day, Mrs. Utterson went back once again to try and see Jekyll. She rang the bell.

"Oh. Mrs. Utterson," said Poole. "Is Jekyll inside?" said Utterson calmly. "She is currently, but she wants to stay in her quarters. Mistress does not wish to see anyone."

"Understood. Please tell her I have stopped by."

"Understood, I shall Madam. Is something wrong, Mrs. Utterson?" said Poole. "You appear grim."

"Poole," started Utterson, "Has anyone else come to see Dr. Jekyll as of recently?"

"No Madam," said Poole. "No one has visited her since the supper."

"Thank you. Good day." Utterson bid him farewell and left, sitting to wonder what her next move will be to help Jekyll.
