"Y/N!"
I heard Charlie calling out.

My eyes were closed. I felt loopy. My feet touched a carpeted floor.

"I've got you, I've got you. It's just the teleport..."

A reassuring, familiar voice mumbled.

Alastor.

"YOU!"
My eyes shot open and I backed away from his arms.
I immediately collapsed.

My vision was blurry.

I didn't understand anything anymore.

"HE- HE- HE'S A MURDERER! HELP! HE TRIED TO KILL ME! HE- HE- THE MISSING PEOPLE! ALL HIM! HE-"

"Dear, I'm afraid you are going through-"

"NO! NO! GO AWAY! YOU- YOU LIAR! YOU MONSTER! YOU- YOU- YOU- I'LL GET THE POLICE, YOU SICK-"

"Y/n, snap out of this!"
Someone else stepped in front of me.

"RUN, HE WILL KILL YOU!"
My breathing was all over the place.

"No he won't, I am the damn guardian of this hotel, you hear?"
The figure said in authority.

Vaggie.

I stopped shouting, but I was still huffing like crazy.

"Where are you now, Y/n?"

"I'm... I... I'm in a hotel..."

"Which one?"
Vaggie questioned.

"H-Hazbin hotel.
In hell.
I- I'm dead.
And I am in hell.
After dying in a coma."
I slowly said.

"I... I remember how I died."
I realised.
"I'm dead."
I repeated.
"I'm... dead."

My breathing stabled.

My eyes landed on Alastor.
The demonic one.
Not the human.

I bursted out in tears like a child in front of everyone.

"I- I don't know what's going on with me!
I can’t take this anymore!"
I weeped.

"You are clearly overwhelmed. You need to rest now."
Vaggie insisted and pulled me up on my feet.

...

I spent some time in my room, sobbing alone. I tried my hardest to cope with all my recent revelations.

My head snapped towards the door when it creaked open.

"A-Angel dust..."
I whispered.

He ran over and wrapped his multiple pairs of arms around me.
He looked a mess, with a black eye.

"I-It’s my fault..."
I gestured at the dark mark.

"No, just a work accident. Don't worry."
He brushed it off.
"They won't come for you. The strawberry pimp intimated them enough."

He let go of the hug.
"You got out just in time, I was scared he was going to contract you..."

"Are you contracted? Is that why you can't leave that place?"

"I made a mistake a long time ago... sold my soul... ugh..."
He seemed to hate himself for that.

"I'll... I'll find a way to save you..."

"I appreciate it, but I'm fine, really.
There's nothing you could do, anyway.
I think you need some more rest, though."

"Okay..."
I snuggled in the sheets.
The spider demon smiled a sad smile before closing my door.

I tried to think of something nice, but all my good memories were tainted by one single man.

I turned around in my bed.
I saw a glass of water that wasn't there before.

"A delivery from good ol' Husker."

I shot up into a sitting position.
Alastor was in the room with me.

I wanted to cry.
His smile was still in his face, yet he looked genuinely worried for me.

He took a deep breath.

"I looked all over for you, when I arrived here. I thought you ended up in heaven."
He told quietly.
"I'm... sorry, dear. For all the trouble I caused you."

Sorry??? SORRY???
Is that all he has to say??
...But I was too weak to actually react.

"So... you remember everything now, do you?"

"Go away, Al."

"No."
He set down on the bed assertively.

"We need to talk, we need to understand how we go from here."

"What is there to talk about."

"You did something stupidly dangerous, and I can’t help but feel that it's my fault. Because we still have unfinished business."

All I could see was the crazed look in his eyes before we died. And his current, permanent smile isn't helping.

"I think it will forever stay unfinished."
I huffed.

"I've been trying so hard to start anew with you, dear."

"You've been constantly mocking me for never catching you earlier."

"It's... it's not easy for me, too, dear."
He sighed. It's been a while since I've seen him so vulnerable.
"I know what I did is unforgivable in your eyes. But we've died since. I am just requesting you to... move past it."

This is why he made the deal with me.
This is why he wanted me to join his broadcast. This is why he was trying to be around all the time.

"You know I can't."
I lied back down and turned my back towards him.

"I know you can."

I shivered when his hand ran through my hair. I've always dreamed of that, when I was alive.

"You always look at me in a way that makes me believe you can."

My cheeks turned red, but I was still quiet and turned away.

"I never stopped liking you.
I care for you deeply, Y/n dear."

I sniffled as tears ran down my face and stained the sheets.

He turned my head around, holding my face with his hands, wiping my tears.

"D-Don’t hold me l-like that. Not again..."
I begged.
The view was too similar to that terrible moment.

His smile weakened, before he was filled with determination to fix my traumatic experience.

He left me in utter shock.
He kissed my forehead.

Alastor drew his hands away and silently retreated from me, not before fixing my blanket.

My head was occupied with him for the rest of the day.
