Omer winced again, this time not just from the physical pain engulfing his leg but also from the emotional weight of Kivilcim's words.

"I understand, Kivilcim. And I'm truly sorry. You weren't  supposed to find out like this."

Kivilcim scoffed and Omer realized how stupid he sounded.

"But please, just hear me out. I didn't lie to hurt you. I wanted to surprise you with something special."

Kivilcim remained silent, her arms still crossed tightly over her chest, her gaze fixed on the floor.

"I know I should have been honest with you from the start. But I wanted to do something meaningful for you, for our future." Omer stated sincerely and looked at her stomach where their little girl was growing.

Kivilcim finally looked up, her eyes filled with a mix of anger and hurt.

"And what could possibly be so meaningful that you had to deceive me? Do you even realize the stress you've put me through? We rushed to the airport and I dropped you off, that was all a lie."

Omer released a deep sigh. "Let me show you what I've been working on."

Kivilcim hesitated for a moment, her protective stance softening slightly.

"Fine. Show me. But this better be worth it, Omer. Otherwise--"

Omer nodded, a glimmer of hope flickering in his eyes as he reached for Kivilcim's hand.

Omer: "It will be, Kivilcim. I promise."

As they walked out of the hospital and got into the car, Omer couldn't help but notice the heavy silence that hung between them like a thick, lingering fog.

"Kivilcim, I know you're upset, but let's try to make the best of this, okay? I promise you'll feel better once you see what I have planned."

"Omer stop saying I am upset every second like I am some emotional woman. I am disappointed. Just... how long is this drive?"

Kivilcim remained silent, staring out of the window momentarily with a distant look in her eyes as she drove. Omer sighed inwardly, realizing that his attempts to lighten the mood were falling flat.

"Just go towards Sahilkoy. I'll tell you where to go afterwards."

"Omer, that's on the other side of Istanbul."

"Just go, Kivilcim."

Omer tried to break the ice, albeit cautiously. "You know, I always thought hospitals were supposed to be good places. But spending time there with you, I might reconsider."

Kivilcim shot him a glare, her arms resting on the driver door. "Save your jokes, Omer. This isn't the time."

Omer hoped to lighten the mood. "Come on, Kivilcim. You've got that 'I'm mad at you' look on your face. But you know, it's kind of cute."

Kivilcim's expression softened for a brief moment, a hint of amusement flickering in her eyes before she quickly masked it.

"Stop it, Omer. You can't charm your way out of this one" she said, though a faint smile played at the corners of her lips.

Omer grinned, loving her reaction. "Hey, I'm just trying to make the ride more enjoyable. We have two hours together. Besides, it's not every day I get to spend quality time with my favorite angry pregnant woman."

Kivilcim couldn't help but chuckle, despite her best efforts to maintain her facade of anger. "You're impossible, Omer."

"And you love me for it," he replied with a smirk, earning himself a playful swat on the arm from Kivilcim."
