we moved on from the topic and I got to know about him more,he plays electric guitar and piano,I thought he was extremely talented.He spoke more than one language

I did open up to him about my parents,telling him my dad was never around and my mom did everything in her power to give us everything she can.She sacrificed a lot,

Though she's no longer with us,she got really sick and the three of us was there to help her.We fed,wash,watched her until she finally was set free

It broke us,especially Carlos.He doesn't like to talk about it,him being the oldest,our mom and him were best friends

Since her death,Carlos gotten more heartless.Josh says he has pictures of her hidden in his room,every time he looks at a photo of her he gets angry

It hurt me cause I was the only girl she had,we use to gossip and paint each other nails.She was my best friend before Lexi

Miguel couldn't help but hold my hand as I spoke about her "I'm so sorry chula" he muttered,the nickname turned my stomach upside down

My mom met Daniel and she immediately fell in love with him,she always wanted me to bring him over or she would come to stay.

She was planning on getting his name tatted before she got sick,that's why Carlos gotten it for her and for his nephew he adores so much

"It's okay" I said,I still visit her grave with josh and Daniel .Carlos couldn't get near without his blood boiling,he's mad at life for it

"You've gone through so much y/n but..you're strong and you're a great mother" I smiled,he rubbed his thumb on my hand as I looked up into his eyes

We kept our eyes connected without a word "so what about you?" I say,pulling my hand back.he smirked while interlocking his fingers together

"What about me?" He says tilting his head while holding eye contact

"What about your parents?" I asked,he pressed his lips together

"Uh I only have my mom-well her boyfriend too but I don't count him as my dad,he never acted like a dad so why should I?" He speaks as he placed some of the fries in his mouth

"Of course,do you live on your own?" I asked,he chuckled as he shook his head

"I live with my roommate from high school,Mason,we've been close since" I nodded thinking that's nice "you?"

"Yeah but my best friend Lexi,she comes over a lot as if it was her second home" he laughed

"Is she the god mother of the little one?"

"Yeah that's her" I told him,he made a realization expression before I clicked on my phone to get the time

"Oh do you want to head out?" He asks

"Yeah I'm sorry,it's just we have work and Daniel has a bedtime" I told him,he nodded

"Yeah no issue,I understand" he says before raising his hand at the waiter to signal the check

"Thanks for the food though" I said as I got up,the waiter came by and handed miguel the check.He placed his card on it before giving it back

I picked up Daniel,placing him close to my chest letting his chubby hand lay on my shoulder "you know I'm taking y'all home right?" He snickered

"Yeah I know" I say with a light smile

TIME SKIP

We stopped in front of my house,I turned to look over to look at miguel "thank you for the night" I told him he smiled

"Yeah anytime-don't open the door" he quickly said,I smirked to myself as I watched him get out the car then going to my side to open the door

"Can I carry him?" He asks,I raised a brow "I got primos" I chuckled before handing him Daniel

He carried him very well,Daniel smiled at him as miguel began tickling him getting him to giggle.I cracked a smile as I stepped out

"You're good with him" I commented,he grinned

"Yeah I think the kid likes me" he says "thank you" he whispers to Daniel,I made a confused expression "he'll understand when he's older"

I squint my eyes at him "I can bring him inside for you if you want" he says,my heart melted for him wanting to have Daniel.It was strange for a guy like that

"Yeah I'll appreciate that,thank you" I say taking my purse from the passenger,I closed the door as miguel and I walked up to the front door

I pulled the keys out of my purse before unlocking the door,I stepped to the side so miguel can bring him inside

Miguel took advantage and observed around the living room that was connected to the kitchen "you can place him over there" I said while pointing to the couch

Miguel nodded as he gently place Daniel on the couch,Daniel then began whining as miguel stepped away

Oh no,Daniel is getting attached,miguel bend down to his eye level "don't worry mijo.if your mommy likes me I can see you more" he said to Daniel

Daniel continue to place his hand on Miguel's finger,miguel smiled as I crossed my arms "he doesn't call me mommy" I told him

Miguel then stood up,turning to me while placing his hands in his pockets "so mami?" He says.My heart skipped a beat

I never was called that so I obviously wasn't used to it "no,it's mama" I told him as I kept my cool

"Ohh okay,I see" he smirked "you got a nice place" he mentioned while looking around,i hummed

"Thanks,my brothers bought it for me"

"The way you talk about your brothers,I'm guessing they love you a lot" he joked as I laughed

"Yeah they continue to spoil me like how my mom did" I told him,he chuckled

"Well I should head to home" he says

"Oh right,I'll see you at work tomorrow" I said,he turned to Daniel

"See you little man" he told him as he raised his hand,Daniel tried his best to give him a high-five making me grin "yeah you got it"

Miguel gazed over to me "hug or you shock me if I touch you" I scoffed while rolling my eyes "thought we spoke about that" he muttered

"Yeah but I don't listen,that's my problem" I told him as I opened my arms for him,he quickly took it as he embraced me

He rubbed my lower back sending chills "it's alright" he says while pulling away "I can teach you" he smirks

he walked to the front door "see you tomorrow chula" he says before he closed the door behind him
