Miguel and I called off work to take Daniel to the park,I wondered why he wanted to but since their bond is cute,I just figured cause he loves him.
Daniel seems to be getting attached to him especially now that they're seeing each other more,Work has been getting more interesting with Miguel.
We've been sharing stares or he tries to be slick and get closer to me than usual,I didn't mind because I got to admit..I think I really like the guy.He doesn't seem like he has bad intentions
I gently finger combed through Daniel's hair to make it look neat before stepping back to view him fully,I smiled "you look so handsome" I babied him making him grin
I attacked his face with kisses as he began giggling while moving like they tickled him,I picked him up against my chest before taking him downstairs
I placed him on his feet,I grabbed his little jacket before bending down to his level.I glance at him seeing him stare at the floor with his big eyes,i felled more in love with my boy
I carefully placed his arms into the jacket,I zipped it up as my phone began ringing on the couch.I sighed "okay honey just wait for mama" I told him
I walked over to the couch before picking up the phone then placing it against my ear "hello?" I said
"Hey,I wanted to call to let you know I'm on the way-and I got a little something for you I think you'll like" miguel spoke,i furrowed my eyebrows wondering what he got me
"Oh okay well,Daniel and I are already dressed waiting for you" I said.he chuckled on the other line "I'm close so you don't have to wait for long,chula" he said
I squint my eyes as I shook my head,I can hear the smirk in his voice.He's smooth but he can't be too smooth with me,it doesn't always work on me
"Good" I said before hanging up,I look over watching Daniel try to walk over to me.I grinned as he stumbled while looking up at me
"Miguel" he mumbled,I walked over and picked him up before placing him on my lap as I sat on the couch "he's coming.You like miguel a lot do you?" I asked
He nodded dramatically.I chuckled "well,to tell you the truth,I like him too" I lowered my voice
The knocks on the door were heard,I stood up with Daniel before walking over and pulling the door open.miguel raised his eyebrows with a soft smile
"Told you I was close" he says,i hummed as I reached Daniel out to him.he quickly took Daniel in his arms "hey niño" he greeted him
"Miguelll" Daniel says while dragging it,Miguel smiled as I put my sweater on "I bet you missed me huh? Miguel spoke
"Did your mom miss me?" He whispered while having his eyes on me,I scoffed "you wish" I said before walking out the house
I shut the door behind me "kinda hurt me there" he muttered,I chuckled "so what's the thing you got me?" I asked while we walked to his car
"Open the passenger door" he told me,I shrugged as I obeyed.my eyes widen seeing a small bouquet of roses "I have a friend who likes making these custom bouquets so I asked her to make you one"
"Mikey these are so beautiful" I say as I picked them up "tell your friend that she can take me on a date" his jaw slightly opened "what?"
"Nothing uh-I'll pass on the message" he sarcastically smiled
TIME SKIP
The weather then changed to sunny and warm so I took Daniel's jacket off so he can be more comfortable "hey,this might be a little weird but..I kinda brought a basket full of food" miguel says coming towards us
I dramatically gasped "oh my god,you brought a picnic?" I teased as I placed my hand over my heart.he raised his eyebrows as his cheeks turnt pink
"Yeah I thought it would be nice,I brought some of Danny's favorites" he says while rubbing his palms together
My heart fluttered "oh mikey,you're so cute" I grinned his eyebrows raised "really? You think so?" He asked before I nodded
"Mama" daniel says,I looked down seeing him point at the swings "oh you want to go on the swings? Okay come on" I picked him up
"So I'll set it up and we can eat" he says,i glance at him he honestly seemed nervous.I think my brothers are right
I looked around and saw the swings where by grass,the sky was so pretty and I thought it would be a great view "yeah how about you set up over by the swings" I said
He nodded "yes ma'am" he turned and walked back to his car,my stomach turned.I cleared my throat to avoid the feeling
I walked with Daniel to the swings,a few parents with their toddlers were doing the same.luckily there was a swing left for Daniel,I carefully placed him in it
"Okay ready?" I asked him,he stuck his tongue out making me do the same.he grinned after nodding,I slowly pushed the swing back watching him come back to me
"Cute kid" I heard near me,I turned my head seeing a guy around my age.I've seen him with a kid I'm guessing was his boy
"oh thanks" I spoke while focusing on Daniel "I'm guessing you're a single mom" he commented,something about his voice was already irritating me
He stepped closer making me now feel uncomfortable,I gazed at miguel who was coming towards us with the stuff in his hands
"Actually I'm not" I told him,his eyebrows furrowed "really? Cause I don't see you with anybody" he stated
As miguel got closer,I couldn't help myself "hey baby" I greeted him while pulling him by his bicep closer to me
His expression was confused before looking in front of us "this is my husband" I told the guy while caressing Miguel's arm
Eventually miguel got the idea "oh so where's your rings?" The guy suspiciously asked earning a glare from miguel
"They're getting cleaned.the hell you care ?" Miguel sternly said,the guy face dropped now hearing miguel stand up.I'm guessing by his innocent soft face the guy didn't find miguel intimidating
"Jesus sorry man I didn't know,I just saw her with her kid-
"Our kid" miguel corrected,I glance at him with an impressive look "yeah sorry-sorry" the guy repeated before walking to his son then picking him up and leaving
"Ugh thank you and I'm sorry if that was uncomfortable to you" I tell him,he shook his head with a soft smile
"Don't even worry about it plus pretending to be your husband and the father of Danny was actually nice" he smirked
"Oh please" I say as I smacked his shoulder,he laughed before walking over to the grass.I sighed knowing he wasn't wrong,I actually thought it felt kind of nice to have someone you call your husband
I shook it off to not pass the line of thinking that way,I looked back at Daniel continually swinging while looking at the other bigger kids playing
TIME SKIP
"You want another one?" I asked Danny,he nodded causing miguel to feed him another grape "you know you're really good with Daniel"
"Well he's good with me" he joked causing me to laugh "this is also really good" I say before taking another bite,he chuckled
"My mom made it,she thought it would be nice for you to try" I widen my eyes
"Your mom has a good hand" I mumbled,he sat up from laying on his arm near Daniel "I think she would love to meet you" he said
"What?" He nodded
"Yeah why not? She can probably give you some tips" he says,I raised a brow.Meeting his mom? Isn't that a step in a relationship?..why am I thinking stupidity?
"I'll love to meet your mom" I spoke
he grinned
