I definitely should have addressed this sooner and not in the beginning chapter, but for the majority of this "book" (idk if i'd call it that) there are references present time stuff (For example: stranger things, airpods, phone, etc.)
id just like you all to know that I originally intended for this to be in the 2022 storyline but decided half way through that it sucked and was ugly so I changed it. But changing that for every chapter would be a pain so I kept it.
There are also present time music, but just don't care because the music really has nothing to do with the story.
