"we're getting married? when did you even propose to me?" hari raised her voice out of shock as she abruptly stood from the chair she was seated on, her mouth ajar from the news he just delivered to her that he seemed to be taking very lightly when it was quite serious while the small table slightly shook from the impact.

hari and sunghoon were currently at a convenience store, sharing a late night snack together as the boy gathered the courage to explain to her the whole situation he put her in hoping she'll digest them decently. he won't take no as an answer today, not like he could anyway because his mother was very clear about not letting a single penny go to waste and use everything they've invested on for their wedding instead.

mrs.park will not let anyone talk about her future heir having a child out of a marriage, so if hari says no she will take the matters into her own hands.

"i know this may seem absurd and so out of nowhere, but let me explain before turning me down." sunghoon pleaded her with his dark eyes to hear him out which had the girl hesitating, her chest heaving up and down with a deep breath before eventually sitting back down and signaling him to go on and try to change her mind. marriage has never been a concept that she has seen in a positive light, and she even isn't planning to get married in the future, let alone to someone she barely knows.

"i really wanted to take things slow and get to know eachother better before bringing up the idea of getting married, but yesterday i told my parents about the baby and they rushed me to tie the knot as soon as possible. and if you think about it, looking after a baby would be much easier together than apart from eachother." the last sentence had her teeth finding her lower lip and lightly biting at it with hand traveling to the barely visible baby bump hiding under her hoodie, hating how her mind couldn't deny how right he was.

babies are a lot to handle, especially if you're looking after them alone with no help, and she probably isn't ready for so many sleepless nights spent by herself so she might consider this the only benefit of marriage for anyone in her situation.

"but we barely even know eachother.. who says you're not a freak?"

"we can get to know eachother better by going out on dates like this, and i'll prove you i am worth of marriage." the pregnant woman reflected on it for a while as she mentally fidgeted back and forth between the pros and cons of the whole situation, stirring the streaming hot ramen inside its plastic cup with an insecure expression twisting her delicate features and soft lips pressed into a thin line feeling his intimidating gaze pinned on her.

"when would this hypothetical wedding be?" the raven suppressed a grin that threatened to curve the corners of his full lips by stuffing some noodles inside his mouth, quickly slurping on them before setting down his chopsticks and clearing his throat. "does this mean you're thinking about it?"

"shut up and tell me." he fished his phone out of his jacket inner pocket and unlocked it to check when the said event would happen since it wasn't relevant enough for him to keep it in mind, hari shyly fidgeting with strings that hung from her black sweatpants as she waited for his answer.

she's aware that she should probably dress up a bit more to see her hypothetical future husband and also superior outside work, but anything slightly tight-fitting around her stomach seems to feel uncomfortable so she can't be bothered to wear jeans or a skirt even outside of work hours.

"it should be in about three weeks. most of the things have already been chosen, including the dress and the cake, so i hope that's okay with you."

"i haven't said yes yet." the pregnant girl reminded him of the propose that she still hasn't answered, avoiding eye contact with him by focusing on the now warm food in front of her that was still untouched by her and that she has only stirred around for now while thinking about his marriage proposal.

it doesn't sound too bad after all. she doesn't even have to worry about planning most of it, so it's only beneficial to her.

"but i'll make sure you will."
