Going into school the next week, Faith felt odd wearing normal clothes at school. She had to admit she missed the feeling of her fitting uniform and high pony. She also felt weird not having to wake up early for practice, she needed to find something else to do with her time.
As Glee Club started, Faith was sitting next to Mercedes and Rachel. Even though she felt weird not wearing her uniform, she felt more weird seeing the girls without theirs as well. As the lesson started, Faith already dreaded it. She didn't like Valentine's Day. Sometimes she celebrated with her friends, but a lot of the time she used it as an excuse to stay home watching movies and eating candy. Her hatred for the holiday started and in her last relationship, she was dating a guy on vocal adrenaline who never put any effort into her. Not even a simple box of chocolates on Valentine's Day.
"All right, guys, I have one word for you. Brittany."
" Is it love?" Faith thought Brittany was being sarcastic until it was apparent she wasn't. "I'm totally going to graduate now." Faith couldn't even fault Brittany, as she was doing a cute little happy dance.
"Valentine's Day is coming up, so for this week's lesson, I want you guys to pick a partner, because you're going to sing to them what you think is the world's greatest love song. Find a song that communicates all the things that love means to you. Now, partner up."
Oh great, an assignment during a week she already hates that Faith couldn't participate in. Suddenly, Faith had an idea. This Valentine's Day wasn't going to be about a boy, but instead about a family she made.
"Mr. Shue, can I say something? I just wanted to point out that for the first time, an entire week has gone by without any one of us getting slushied." Faith didn't know what Finn was getting at, considering she didn't understand why he would need to announce this in front of the room. "I think the fact that I led the football team to a Conference Championship might have something to do with it. The fact is that I'm the closest thing that this Glee Club has to a celebrity right now. And just like a famous athlete, I want to give to a charity. You guys."
There it is. He wanted to flaunt himself as a studded male figure. Faith rolled her eyes, while hearing some scoffs coming from around the room.
"So, I'm setting up a kissing booth for a dollar a smooch, and donating the proceeds to Glee Club to help us...''
While everyone was deciding if Finn's reason was legit or not, Santana of course had to insert a snarky comment.
''I've kissed Finn, and can I just say? Not worth a buck. I would, however, pay a hundred dollars to jiggle one of his man-boobs.'' Although Faith thought it was a little funny, it was rude of her to go after one of Finn's insecurities.
"Do you ever get tired of tearing other people down?"
"No, not really."
Faith didn't know how, but she knew there was about to be some kind of disagreement.
"Because you always just seem to be meddling in everyone else's business."
"Oh, please. You guys love me. I keep it real, and I'm hilarious."
"Actually, you're just a bitch."
''Okay. I'm sorry. You've just got eyes for my man."
Faith was confused about who Santana was talking about, as far as she knew she didn't have a man until 'The Man' in question spoke up.
"Okay, first of all, I'm not your man."
"And Finn is right. All you ever do is insult us. Three weeks ago, you said you were disappointed that I didn't have a lizard baby."
