It was finally Christmas time in McKinley and Faith was in the least festive mood she's ever been around her favourite holiday. She was walking the hall with Finn, on their way to plan for glee while Finn tried to cheer his twin up.

"But, c'mon Faye. It's our favourite holiday. What's got you in a mood that makes you hate it all of a sudden?" Finn questioned.

"I mean, other than the fact that all my closest friends are either in another city or dating my ex...I don't have much to be festive over. Plus, even mom's going to her sisters when we aren't and Burt's taking that surprise trip to New York to see Kurt and tell him about..." Faith trailed off and cleared her throat at the memory of her mom and dad figure sitting her down last week to tell the twins about the latter's cancer diagnosis. That mixed with seeing Brittany and Sam get extra close and cozy, Faith was already tired of this holiday.

"Yeah..." Finn replied, desperate to change the topic. "What about Blaine? I'm sure he won't be dating your ex or in another city and he's one of your close friends, right?"

"He can't. Burt's taking him to New York to surprise Kurt. Soften the news a little bit. It's okay. Kurt will need him more than me. At least it's us. Christmas day movie marathon?" Faith smiled up at her brother.

"Fine. Twist my arm." He teased before getting distracted by a very beaten and angry-looking Artie, trying to shove his things in his locker. "Whoa hey, dude, are you all right?"

Faith followed and helped Artie put his things in his locker as Finn assessed his face damage.

"Whoa, wh-wh-what happened to your face?" Finn questioned.

"I fell, okay? The stupid janitor didn't put salt on the ramp like he's supposed to, and my wheels don't have chains, so I slipped backwards and tipped over on the ice. It's fine. It's nothing." Artie grumbled, rightfully upset with the situation.

"No, Artie, that isn't nothing. That's some serious damage to your face. Let us take you to the nurse." Faith pleaded.

Once Artie nodded, Finn started rolling his chair down the hallway as Faith trailed behind. After the nurse had done her assessment, she called his mom and with the help of Finn, Artie got into the cot in the office. As he drifted into sleep, he mumbled something about wishing he was never in his chair.

Like some weird lucid dream, Artie was in another reality.

Instead, it wasn't a dream, it was a fucking nightmare.

Glee didn't exist so to try and make things better, Artie gathered everyone past and present in the choir room.

"You're probably wondering why I've asked you all to meet me in the choir room," Artie spoke.

"This is Coach Sue's craft room." Kitty bitched, confusion on her face.

"Well, in an alternate universe, it was the choir room," Artie replied.

"I had a dream about that once," Rachel said, dreamily.

"I know. And it was a place that always made me feel safe. And I know it did for a lot of you, too. That's 'cause we danced together, we sang together, we took turns up here. Like Finn said, it's about the love of the music." Artie spoke encouragingly, though none of it seemed to be working.

"Dude, are you high? I never said that." Finn questioned.

"Why don't you just show us what you mean?" Rachel said dreamily which gave Artie the idea.

Maybe he could prove his point if he just got them to perform.
