At the beginning of the week, Faith had been sitting back in the choir room. Mr. Schue invited her to come join Glee for the week as she was home for prom anyways and she happily accepted.
She and Blaine were sitting on the piano bench while Sam laid across it, he jumped up hoping Faith would do the spiderman kiss with him. He had yet to have luck.
"So how does it work with gay marriage, you take his last name or does he take yours, or...?" Sam questioned, making Faith laugh at the conversation.
"Right now, I'm honestly just excited that Kurt said yes." Blaine said with a giant smile before looking towards Faith. "Sooo, you and Sam next?"
Faith laughed, "I love Sam, and I'm excited for you and Kurt, but I'd like to have stability in my life before getting married."
"Fair. Hey, are you guys looking forward to prom?" he said, brushing off her answer.
"I'm excited, it's like my 3rd prom. Why does McKinley have so many?" Faith stated.
"I fell asleep last night while Tina was texting me about her prom dress." Blaine rolled his eyes and laughed. "It's really nice that Ryder is going with her."
"Yeah, I guess so." Faith replied. "I don't know, I just feel bad because I can tell Ryder's heart isn't in it. I think he still wishes he was taking Marley."
"I feel for him. He's unlucky in love, I was too." Sam said, before setting his eyes on his girl. "Until some gorgeous girl crashed into my life."
Faith giggled and then finally gave home what he wanted, she leaned down and kissed him, creating the perfect spiderman kiss. When she pulled back, Sam smirked and pumped his fist in the air in celebration.
When Mr. Schue walked in, they all made their way to the seats.
"Come on, guys, we're back with the Beatles! We're leaving the mop-tops behind and moving into their experimental years. Now, the Rubber Soul album marked a turning point for the group, where they literally and figuratively let their hair down. Now, the Beatles were the biggest musical act in the world. They could have remained in their comfort zones, but instead, they risked everything to explore new musical worlds. They had something important to say, and they weren't going to let something as silly as the fear of failure get in their way." He started before getting cut off by the PA system.
"Good afternoon, McKinley High." Principal Sue's voice rang through the school. "This year, the proms are being fused into one giant Brundleprom. And now for the moment that will crush 99% of your misguided views about your own popularity. Here are your nominees for Prom King and Queen. First, here are your nominees for Prom King: Blaine Anderson...Mohamed Omar, Artie Abrams... Stoner Brett Bukowski."
"Wait, I-I really didn't get nominated for king?" Sam looked at Faith, his eyes wide with shock.
"It's because they're stupid, love. Don't let some popularity contest tell you what you are and aren't. You're forgetting that Rachel won prom queen last year. I love that girl, but she was not the most popular." Faith replied, resting her head on his shoulder and holding his arm to comfort him.
"And now onto the Queen. Kitty Wilde...Aimee Ryan...Jordan Stern. And, inexplicably, Tina Cohen-Chang." Sue finished as Tina started running around the choir room cheering for herself. "Congratulations. Six of you will be disappointed."
"Tina. Wow! Even though I'm not nominated, it's such an honor to be going to prom with a potential queen." Ryder said, standing up and walking towards Ryder.
"Oh...Sorry, Ryder. It was so nice of you to offer to go with me, but I'm going to have to decline your invitation." She said hesitantly.
"But you already accepted." Ryder stated.
