As Faith was sitting in the choir room, Sam was drawing on her arm with his finger while she discussed graduation with Quinn. Trying to avoid the debate that Mercedes and Rachel were having.
"No, Mercedes, you are wrong okay? The Bodyguard was originally written for Barbra Streisand." Faith heard before Mr Schuster came in writing something on the board.
''Actually, Rachel, it was supposed to be Diana Ross and Steve McQueen back in the '70s. I've been doing some research to prepare for this week's lesson."
Mr. Schue wrote 'Whitney' on the board leaving most of the group excited.
"Are we sure that's appropriate?'' Sam whispered over to his girlfriend.
"Don't let any of the vultures here you say that. They would have your head on a stick. But, we do controversial artists in here all the time. And Whitney's not that bad. She had a hard life and there's nothing wrong about that.'' Faith said leaning her head against his shoulder.
Apparently, Mr Schuster was the only one who had heard their conversation.
"Look, this week isn't about passing judgment on Whitney. It's about celebrating her Legacy, honouring her memory, and her accomplishments. But I also want you guys to use her songs to get underneath your own feelings. To express and explore what's really going on with you.''
Faith looked at Mr Schuster confused, not totally sure what he was talking about. Apparently, everyone else was too because Finn asked the question.
"I don't get it, Mr. Schue. What's really going on with us?"
''Well, for most of you, these next few weeks will be your last year at McKinley. Lots of changes coming up, lots of saying goodbye. To your friends, to your significant others, the last 4 years of your life. For a young person, all that transition can be overwhelming. So it's easier to focus on other things. Like not being able to say goodbye to Whitney Houston. I understand you're hanging on to Whitney because it's difficult to handle the upheaval in your own life.'' While Santana tried to argue with Mr Schuster's statement, Faith and Sam were having their own private conversation.
"I didn't realize it was all going to come at us so quickly. I'm really not ready to say goodbye. Not to you. Not to anyone here." Sam grabbed her hand and gave it a slight squeeze.
"No goodbyes. Not for us Hudson." Faith smiled at his gesture before the bell rang dismissing them for class.

Brittany was first to show off her Whitney song.
~~~I Wanna Dance With Somebody By Brittany S. Pierce, Santana Lopez~~~
(Faith loved watching her best friend perform. Once Brittany started pulling up all the guys, she forced Sam to go up and dance and even had some of her Cheerios come to the auditorium to help her be back up for the rest of the performance. After everyone cheered, Faith quickly made her way to sit next to Sam in the audience.)
''Obviously, I like dancing with Santana and Faith best but you guys are all cool dancers. And Quinn, you're still dancing in my dreams. And you can fly and breathe fire.''
Faith could tell that made Quinn look uneasy but before she could go after her, Joe was already on it.
~~~~~
Apparently whatever instinct Faith had about Joe and Quinn, seemed to be right because at the beginning of their next glee club meeting, Joe announced they had a song.
"Mr. Shue, I've been going with Quinn to her rehab this week. We started working on a Whitney song together that we'd like to share. Not sure how it's gonna help anyone say good-bye, but it's a song we both really dig." Joe said, grabbing his guitar and meeting Quinn in the middle.
