After my talk with naida,I turned to go home.On my way out,I met Max.It was as if time had stopped.I immediately looked down,I didn't want to get lost in those eyes.We weren't married.
Razia: what are you doing here?
Max: I tried my best to forget you but I couldn't.Guess what,I decided to read more about Islam, it's fascinating.
Razia: I hope you are learning for yourself.
Max:yes and also for you.I converted(I won't lie,it made me very happy knowing that the man I was inlove with,had chosen Islam,but we could never be,I was going to get married)
Razia:you cannot convert because of a person,you have to convert because of Allah.
Max: I did.
Razia:then why did you say you were also learning for me?
Max: because you need a better man.Razia I have done alot of evil,I have killed alot of people, innocent people included.
(I looked at him shocked)
Razia:you killed innocent people?
Max:yes, I set off a bomb in the apartment of my enemies,but I didn't know there was people visiting.I don't want to be a bad person razia.I am trapped.(I saw tears in his eyes)
Razia:calm down,why are you sad?
Max: I was raped as a child razia,that is why am not close with women.It reminds me of what those horrible women did to me as a child.But you are different Razia.I love you with all of my heart.You are the only one I trust and feel safe with.
(I couldn't help but cry.He tried to touch my face,I walked back)
Razia:you can't touch me.I love you Max.
Max:you do?
Razia:with all my heart but am engaged to be married soon.
Max: what?
Razia:my father,he won't accept us Max.Someone took a picture of us, and sent it to him.he has arranged my marraige,I have no choice.
(Max was deadly silent.The look in his eyes was menacing.)
Razia:Max?
(He turned to leave.I ran off after him)
Razia:Max! Max!babe!(he stopped and stared at me)
Max:am not your babe yet,until we get married.
He got in his car and drove off.I ran home.It took me twenty minutes to reach.
I was shocked by the scene.Max was pointing a gun at my father as my family stood stunned.
Razia:Max stop.
Ahmed:so he is the man you ran off with.A freaking gangster!
Razia:yes,he is a ganster and I love him.
Ahmed: impossible,I will never allow you to be with him.Remember our deal?
Razia:yes I remember, and I will marry Yusif so you can finally treat my family right. Max,I know he is not a good father but he is still my father.He raised me and my siblings and he took care of my mom.We owe him that respect.So if you really love me,you will respect the man who raised me.lower your weapon.
(He lowered it)
Max:you know I will always love you right?
Razia: I know.
